This is a set of Tablas. The smaller one played with the right hand is called the dayan

The larger, played with the left hand is the bāyāñ.

.. in fact if you like to combine Indian music an metal, I recommend you listening to a song called "Ishq Da Warka" by Rafaqat Ali Khan (Album "Sufi Rocks"). You get it on itunes. Has no tabla however.
