Why do people defend the Bible by saying that you should look at the New Testament, and the Old Testament doesn't really apply? Isn't the Bible the Word of God? Does it actually say somewhere in the Bible that I've missed that the first half is just a history lesson, while the second half is a morality lesson? Certainly most of the anti-gay verses used are from the Old Testament. As are the 10 Commandments. As are many, often used verses. Does God get mad that most people pick and choose?

All those quotes were from the Old Testament, the bits that Muhammad liked, not from the New Testament which he didn't like, which was "corrupted". It doesn't matter what is written in any of those books. You don't kill. Muslims kill for many reasons, and justify it with the Koran. Christians would be just as violent, and let there books defend their actions (which they do) Christians only appear to be beyond terrorism because their society doesn't allow it. So the religion argument is null. Western civilization will always appear superior to the Islamic world because our society is superior. Not our religion.
