  • @Vacloard90 you're joking right?

  • Man can those few clips stir up so much emotion. I lose sense of time when my brain starts to trip on those memories.

  • This promo was for Friday, May 15, 1992.

  • they cancelled it in 2005

  • I haven't seen this since I was a kid! Oh my gosh! I'm about to cry! Good times!

  • The day! I never saw that Rosanne animated show. Dont know how I missed it. Thanx 4 uploading this!

  • dinosaurs was funny and so was rosey and buddy and babby talk well family matters dosent count as old show because it still plays on nick at nite so good shows and nice shot of tom and jerry

  • Comment removed

  • ABC really wants to bring back TGIF for the 2012-13 Season.

The Only Good Show from that lineup above is Family Matters.

  • Roseanne and Tom Arnold... what a nightmare lol

  • This had to be one of the worst TGIF line-ups. Family Matters and Dinosaurs - ok, but Baby Talk and Rosie and Buddy? WTF? Baby Talk was lame and anything with Roseanne outside of "Roseanne" was bad.

  • This wasn't an official TGIF lineup. The Rosey and Buddy Show got canned after one episode because it got extremely low ratings.

  • @Rawk4Life I was about to ask how long was that show on? I sure don't remember it.

  • It used to be on TGIF:

    Full House

    Family Matters

    Just the Ten of Us

    Step by Step

    Dinosaurs

    Perfect Strangers

    (not in that order)

  • @CanadianFan dont forget boy meets world too

  • @gannon1op ooh I forgot that one. There is another called, "Guardian Angel" or something like that where a kid eats a bad pizza slice, dies and becomes a guardian to his best friend!

  • @CanadianFan Teen Angel

  • @osaji922 that's it thank you!!!

  • Roseanne and Tom Arnold had a cartoon?! No wonder everyone was sick of them, lol. I miss the 90's!

  • The TGIF lineup that came later with Family Matters, Boy Meets World, Sabrina the Teenage Witch and then maybe Clueless was a much better lineup than this. Obviously the only good show in this lineup was Family Matters.

  • @DarkReapersGrim -- Don't forget Step by Step nigga

  • @DarkReapersGrim: my fave was full house, family matters, perfect strangers, and just the ten of us..abc in '92 threw all kinds of gimmick shows at us (on the air, capitol critters, getting by, baby talk)...they also moved their established series to saturday nights (perfect strangers, who's the boss?, growing pains) they even killed full house moving it off tgif in late '91....but at least that show got a 2 part finale unlike the others put out to the "i love saturday night" pasture....

  • Full House was not killed at all, post-TGIF. If anything, their ratings continued to increase, given that 1992-93 was when Mary-Kate and Ashley were exploding into super-stardom. Getting By premiered in early 1993, and to me that never struck as a gimmicky show (unless you think that two best friends, moving their families into the same house, was the gimmick...then, perhaps).

  • @domirules28 Perfect Strangers did get a two part finale on TGIF but it was over the summer of '93 as part of its eighth season

  • Oh my God imiss the 90's so bad icould cry

  • @spideyTB You and me both.

  • Not the Mama!!!!!! LOL

  • Ahh TGIF memories

  • Dinosaurs & Family Matters!!. I miss Dinosaurs. That show to use to be the start of my morning, getting ready for school, 6AM.

  • god i miss the dinosaurs!

  • memories....

  • I had forgotten all about the Roseanne and Tom show or whatever it was until now.

  • wow, this brought me back... thanks for posting this!!

  • wtf was baby talk? anyone remember???

  • @nessagonz3 "Baby Talk" was a show that was like the "Look Who's Talking" movies. Tony Danza did the voice of the baby, and George Clooney was in it before he was replaced or left; I'm not sure which one. There's a clip of him in it somewhere on YouTube.

  • how is it that i remember that Dinosaurs show when it came out when i was only 2 (1992)? weird.....

  • It's amazing how ABC can go from the best network ever to the worst with simply a change in decades.

  • Oh God, I remember the Rosie and Buddy show. I also remember it being terrible.

I would however watch TGIF for the other shows back when they actually had good shows on it.

  • @mangoliouskiwi I think that was the last season before the hit shows started. Right after they canned Rosie and Buddy and put Dinosaurs on syndication they picked up Boy Meets World, Step by Step, Sabrina, and the list goes on

  • they already had hits shows like Perfect Stangers, Family Matters, Step by Step, etc.

  • When tv was good.

  • its just bring back the good days when iwas 12yr

  • I used to love watching TGIF! And wake up on saturday to watch Looney Tunes.

  • Its friday night and i CANT wait to see the New Episode of Boy Meets world tonight....what?....Wife Swap? What the Hell is that?....2010?...what the hell are you talking about? WAIT WHAT?. WHAT DO YOU MEAN MY CHILDHOOD IS OVER?!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

  • @danlublock Yes, it appears to be over. Bring back TGIF and Bob Saget on AFHV. Modern age sucks!

  • @danlublock: i would go back to the fall of 1992 in a heartbeat....watching tgif on friday nights, then waking up at noon the next day to watch the then new wwf champion bret hart on wwf superstars...

  • Was That MJ Singing In The Background?????!!!!!

  • Those were some fun times back them. Yet so simple to be easily entertained. I miss being a kid

  • i miss the 90's

  • remember falling to slee watching abc TGIF and then waking up saturday morning to abc One Saturday Morning

  • :( i miss tgif!!

  • holy crap i forgot all about The rosanne cartoon

  • there were two.. the Rosey and Buddy Show (short lived) as well as the Saturday morning version (was kinda like Rosanne show as a kid)... seemed to me like they thought no one would remember the male role's name.. so they called him Buddy each time

  • i never heard of baby talk! must be cause i'm in canada.. sounds cute~

  • @Shampy It didn't last long. It was basically a sitcom version of the Look Who's Talking movies, where the babies "talked."

  • ah, yeah when i commented i think i looked up videos about it.. it wasn't that appealing. i like the movies though =)

  • Is that Michael Jackson's voice singing" Things that make you go..."?

  • No, that was the C+C Music Factory

  • I was just looking for bumper stickers and found this. LOL! quite the argument over bumper vs promo. Anywho, brought back some great memories. Thanks for making my day!

  • Dinosaurs was a great show!

The comments below make me feel uncomfortable like maybe I should leave the room.

  • This a promo, not a bumper. I probably left this as a comment already a while ago, and as is the case with certain video owners, i'm sure that little piece of info will never be corrected. :)

  • It's a difference of a keyword and really, that's about it.

It's just something on youtube, dude.

  • LOL, you don't have to speak as if i'm making a big deal about it. It's just that most people know the difference between a promo and a bumper. Can't anyone accept a little help anymore..?

  • Help? I don't consider your sarcastic remark "help".

And it really does come down to keywords. Promo and bumper are the last 2 words that anyone would use to get to this particular video.

  • It wasn't sarcastic to begin with. I think it's all in how you take it. I used a smiley-faced emoticon to denote that I meant it without any hard emotion. Little things like that make text communication a whole lot easier when you can't see people's facial expressions.

On the contrary, most people I know *would* use promo or bumper to get to this video, especially if they never saw it before and remembered it.

  • ...Dude, my point is promo/bumper is not gonna make a difference. They're still gonna get here, so it's moot.

It's still just something on youtube, yanno?

  • Dude, the attitude is not necessary, so cut it out. You're totally taking this out of whack. I was simply helping YOU understand the difference between a promo and a bumper. This is a promo. A bumper is a short 2-3 second still or shot of a show's logo, usually joined by the annoumcement "we'll return to../we'll be right back" and often accompanied by station identification.

  • Hey, I tried, but if that's the way you're going to act, don't expect constructive feedback from myself or anyone who sees this ever again.

  • VaultMasterDBT ...........stfu.

Yay i'm starting drama from 5 months ago! :)

  • Why are you telling me to shut the fuck up? You don't even know me.

  • Yay it worked! :)

  • There was no reason for that whatsoever. The owner of this video took my helpful hints the wrong way, and I just need to prove that I meant no hostility toward him/her. That is all.

  • Yes, they WILL make a difference. "Still just something on YouTube" has no resonance with me. The service has become a commonplace medium in its own right..that's like saying, "they used the wrong street name, but it's just a road map".

Don't even think about "dude"-ing me again, either.

  • is it really that hard to change "bumper" to "promo" in your video title? lol

  • Ha..Baby Talk another failed attempt on trying to cash in on blockbuster movies..Dinosaurs they shouldve gotten one more season that was a great show

  • waht channel was this on

  • ABC, channel 4 where i'm from

  • I remember Dinosaurs!

  • That's me at :26

  • my brother actually hit my dad in the head with his toy wood mallet when he saw that one episode of dinosaurs... let's just say he never got to see the mallet again...

  • Whenever I mention Dinosaurs everyone looks at me like i'm retarded =/ I guess no one from my generation remembers it...

  • I loved Dinosaurs as a kid.

  • I remember Dinosaurs. That was a great show. Too bad it didn't last long.

  • i'm 28 and still remember dinosaurs. i loved it. :)

  • oh God, dinosaurs... did I ever even watch that show, I think not. And yet somehow the little one is engraved in my memory...

  • I used to get emetic whenever I see the baby Dinosaur!! xDD

  • I used to watch Dinosaurs when I was like 6. I'm only 14. I used to love that show. It's weird, because when I look at it now, it creeps me out quite a bit. xD

  • haha^^ i really wanna watched that "dinosaurs " it looks fun^^ and they look more like aliens...cool

  • NOT the mama! NOT the mama!(smacks urkel with a frying pan).

  • brings back memories^^

  • The Urk Man!

  • i remember theeres was this show where roaches and rats lived underneath the white house it was i think it was fox though

  • @blackdante85 that was 'Capitol Critters' it was about insects, I'm not sure if there was roaches on the show. That was on ABC but that went off the air real quick. I don't think that even lasted a full season.

  • I AGREE TOTALLY dang i rember this shit (its a good shit) and i also like the tgif seasons where sabrina, boy meets world, home improve ment etc and this man i LOVED EVERY BIT OF IT YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA NOT THE MAMA!!!!!

  • This Bumper is from the spring of 1992. "FAMILY MATTERS" had came on at 8:00 PM ET. "ROSEY AND BUDDY" following at 8:30 PM ET. "DINOSAURS" at 9:00 PM ET, and followed by "BABY TALK" premiering at 9:30 PM ET, which marked the last TGIF show of the season until that series was canceled in May of 1992.

  • OMFG I forgot all about TGIF

  • OMG! I used to LOVE TGIF...I loved the dino's...man they should bring it all back

  • baby talk? oh my jesus. gotta love the early 90's

  • 1981

  • baby talk?wtf

  • baby talk i kinda remember that damn im old...... born april 1989 last of the 80's babies ya dig

  • Damn this is why I am starting to hate Youtube.

It brings back too many of my childhood memories and how much I miss TGIF, Dinosaurs (got copies of them off the net and am buying the DVD sets soon) and the rest of the great shows.

    I hate getting old.

  • yeah dinosaurs was funny

  • damn i forgot albout all this shit.

  • For those old enough to remember, the original TGIF lineup; before they even refered to it as TGIF was "Perfect Strangers", "Full House", "Mr. Belvedere" and "Just the 10 of Us".

Quick side not......Reggie Vel Johnson (Carl Winslow) on Family Matters was the only one of the cast who like Jaleel White (Steve Urkel). The others were very bitter that the show was becoming all about him. I mean, who could blame them....the majority of people only knew it as "Urkel", not "Family Matters".

  • Yep, I remember that original lineup!

Family Matters just was not the same once it was all about Urkel.

  • Steve Urkel was only suppose to be in the first couple of episodes but the positive reaction to him proppeled the producer, Miller and Boyett to make him a regular cast member.

  • Which makes it ironic that his character(s) are the reason Mother Winslow and Harriett left the show.. I hated the last couple of seasons of Family Matters..it was too unrealistic. It was also depressing to watch Myra that last season knowing she was really sick and dying. :(

  • woow. Rosie and Buddy show, i remember watching that LOL.

of course Family Matters and Dinosaurs were sooo awesome!!

man, I miss the old ABC. TGIF was the BEST!! i was always excited when that shit came on!

  • Ugh, that "Dinosaurs" show was the WORST!!!! Not to mention the fact the voice on the baby dinosaur was like fingernails on a chalkboard!

  • i love my Dinousars but when that DAMN OJ SIMPSON TRAIL came on they cut the show for about 4 weeks oooohhh that got my mad i was only 7 but if the state didnt kill him for killing that girl if he i was gonna kill him for messing with my shows!!!! lol

  • i miss tgif ='(

  • i looked foward to fridays all week in school for TGIF, i miss it, i miss bein' young.

  • LOL. I remember Baby Talk was suppose to be the TV version of the Look Who's Talkin' movies. It wasn't nearly as funny. I forgot about the Rosey and Buddy show! lol. I LOOOVED Dinosaurs.."Not the mama! Not the mama!"--And I remember the ''Things that Make You Go Hmmm'' promos. They lasted about two years after the song (and C&C Music Factory) lost their popularity.

  • I LOVED dinosaurs, and I remember that commercial. Wow, TGIF was da ish

  • Omg, I completely forgot that baby talk existed.

  • Out of all the shows in that lineup, I only remember Family Matters and Dinosaurs.

  • I don't remember the Rosey & Buddy Show either. But why the hell doesn't some network have replays of Dinosaurs and Baby Talk? You see Family Matters all over the place.

And don't tell me because they sucked - they were PURE GOLD. NOT THE MAMA

  • OMG I forgot about Rosey and Buddy. I remember it now though. Dinosaurs is CLASSIC.

  • OMG!!! NOW I REMEBER DINOSAURS! I LOVED THAT SHOW WHEN I WAS LITTLE!! i dont rember the rosie and buddy show or baby talk either.

  • I don't remember the Rosie show either, and Baby Talk only vaguely, and I'm old enough that I should remember. But Dinosaurs was great! I loved that baby!

  • ya i loved it too! just yesterday i remembered brotherly love and looked it up on youtube and i was like I REMEMBER THAT!

  • Not the mama! Not the mama! (smacks dad dinosaur over head with frying pan)

  • all i remember is dinosaurs, unfortunately I don't remember it being very good. how long did that last?

  • Huh? I don't recall the Rosie show or Baby Talk.

I remember family matters and Dinosaurs though.

  • I hated that "Dinosaurs" show.

That baby dinosaur ANNOYED THE HELL out of me!

  • Rosey's worst by FAR

  • Haha. I thought I was the only one. That baby dino really annoyed me too.

  • i loved the dinosaurs

  • Did I just see Tom & Jerry?

  • Ahaha, I totally remember "Baby Talk."

  • The Rosie and Buddy show? When did that come on?
