I get it... my only problem is... If we are aware of the devestating affects we have on the planet and eachother, created by industry and "civilization", what can we do? Do we recycle our computer, phone, car and whatever else we "own" that does not serve us. Do we get off the grid and go live off the land? Do we join a eco-village? Or do we just settle with the awarness and make youtube videos?
Civilization is good and bad, many people wouldnt be alive today if it wasnt for civilization but at the same time it is killing the planet and enslaving billions of people across the globe
I think civilization should avoid greed as this is what is causing all the problems
Does donald twump.etc build all of these buildings and busineses to create jobs or is it all vanity.
Basicly I think civilization should be run better ... if budhists were running civilization we would all be better off !
You can't kill the planet; it's just a ball of iron.
If you're worried about diversity just remember all living things came from single celled organisms originally; diversity could just as easily spring from a single species left long enough.
If we ever make contact with aliens, I expect them to be machines.
I am watching this video in the comfort of my safe and secure home in the uk sorrounded by the fruits of civilization a computer tv etc all powered by oil. is Civilisation built on narccisism and greed? or for the benefit of one another?
@gavloft benefit of those alive today, but not our children and not for homeless jack. the question is in sustainability. you could technically do without tv and a computer.
this is amazing in all aspects. Yesterday i got even more fed up with all this bullshit than i usually am. as ross perot said" activists aren't the ones telling people about the river pollution, their the ones picking up the trash." Its a good quote, but i think us activists need to be acting and telling at the same time. anyways great video as always. also try meditating to relax and escape from the bullshit for a little. peace
awesome... AWESOME! Anything that is a "standard" nation wide, limits what could be naturally flourishing. This is to say people do not need street lights everywhere, stop signs everywhere, hour long security at the airport, we would do just fine NATURALLY. Like how millions of people walk on the sidewalks together, rarely colliding into one another. Naturally, we know how to move with others. In all areas we know how to function together, when we all vibrate love for the whole. LoveLife
that was really good. I listen to most of your shit, and I like that style, topic, and video method the most. Make some more of that! Im gonna write something now just because of this post.
Meant to add earlier.. I really like this. I'd love to see more songs/poems focused on specific things like this. I'm sure you have a lot of knowledge you could share.
In a sense they are more liberated then more solidified (so called less developed) nations; they probably still have access to food, and they can go in any direction you want to go in. Unfortunately, they are probably in the middle somewhere, underwater, suspended in the different layers of current, not knowing which way is up and which way is down. They are left with two items; a culture compass that barely works and an ecological respirator that is slowly running out. create local culture!
This is the competitive, individualistic, greasy life that human beings are sold these days. They are forced to pay to exist and play the game. People born in a fully liquefied (so called developed) nation, with little economic or cultural capital, will find themselves in hot water. The solid institutions/ways of being that our ancestor fought so hard to create have mostly been liquefied. They are forced to swim with little anchors or flotation devices.
If that dude can reach 500,000 + people with his "no good rhyme schemes" and "silly" content, imagine what you could achieve in energizing the people. Zack.
Ps - You're on the internet. Put in work before you badmouth real MC's
Aah! Someone fucking said it! Personally I like a lot of techniques stuff. But yeah, his shit is grade school simple and has a lot of silly politics, which he covers by basically saying "I'm harder than you."
It's strange, it's almost as if we're put so close together that we're smothering each other, but at the same time we don't know how to connect and relate to one another, no community, but at the same time no solitude.
I grew up in suburbia. When I had my child in the city, I myself would have preferred to at least have a little nature around me, but I didn't want her growing up with the powerless need for chauffeuring Zack mentions in this vid, so I stayed in the city.
With different patterns of development--clustered development, we could have both community and solitude.
But when folks work to make co-housings, local zoning interferes. Some folks manage to break-through and do it though.
Have you ever thought about studying urban planning/ going into real-estate development? Some of the reason better living spaces aren't developed is just lack of vision and effort. Even in our society there are places that are better, and they get really popular and expensive. Provincetown, Ma...its not just the sea, its the 3-century old pattern of development. Manhattan's East Village...community gardens on every block. You can make a difference.
"...blaze a new trail like a blunt. Aint saying, fuck life, but fuck the way we get it done." the world opened her weary eyes and saw z standing tall what look like an army was just a band of happy people no one worked or stressed just lazy with life the wind as a guest your words are dope for sleepy minds thanks for this and all you do

You ever hear of Immortal Technique, buddy?
CheeezMaster 2 years ago
technique's not that great.
rhyme scheme is never more than AA, BB, CC, DD
plus he's up on the NWO, illuminati which is silly
yeah i've been holding that back for years. i do not sound like technique.
you want conscious hip-hop? listen to common market.
zzz33333 2 years ago
nwo/illuminati may sound silly, but read up on some history zack.
Research the "family compact", and "chateau clique". Those are just canadian examples of elitist organizations.
look at the feudal system and then look at the system in place today.
fuck the conspiracy, but there is truth inside this cypher, bro.
is it really hard to believe that rich pricks desire power and control?

they are the ones standing on top the bobylonic house of cards. Is it necissary to engage them? no.
just kick the fucking cards out from under them.
But to deny the existance of the power hungry, is to deny the nature of babylon itself.

*Gasp* NWO, illuminaty is silly? haha, no wonder you're still sane :D
