i read an interview concering this period of the twin's existence

about how the three would debate all night as to what word to

put into a song between 'woo', 'awoo', and 'woo-awoo'. Speaking

later, at 4Calender time, the band said they were so glad they

couldn't remember all of those earlier discussions.

When you hear the way Simon played bass and piano on this song and the way liz sang these otherwordlynotes, you know why they worked with harold budd on the moon and the melodies! i remember in 85 having chills everytime Simon hit the high notes at the end and it's the same now even though im an old fucker... love you all who have hears to hear!

Accurate observation, cutter67! This song really can be treated as a starter to The Moon and Melodies, a very tasty and nutritious one by any means. There's even a certain similarity of the rhythmic and melodic lines between this song and Sea Swallow Me.

Nice to hear/watch this again, shum! (while we still may). So, BTW, this summer, here in Philadelphia during an awful heat wave, with my air conditioner on the fritz, & my mind in a thick haze while unpacking groceries, I left a dozen eggs atop the fridge. Two sweaty nights later, I had "Eggs and their Smells". Sorry-I couldn't help myself, plus it's a true story. Also, the smell reminded me of parts of hyper-industrialized northeast New Jersey, when traveling between NY-NY & Philadelphia.

My Babies surely noticed it first, with their superior sense o' stench! I'm just glad they didn't go on top the fridge to investigate, and then knock the offensive odiferous orbs to the floor, creating a mess-and-a-half!

fantastic vid again mate and a perfect song choice for these amazing visuals

I remember in 1985 they released this 12-inch about 1 week after Tiny Dynamine came out & being a penniless student at the time I couldn't afford both so I flipped a coin and chose EIASB. I thought it was just the most amazing thing I'd ever heard. Nothing's changed.

I can sure relate to that - so much great music, but not more than 2 coins to rub together. Luckily, a small group of friends with a variety of tastes in alternative music, back in the early and mid-80's, allowed the possibility of mix tapes, etc, where we could each share what we had on vinyl. Later on, I had more money to play with, and filled in the gaps of my own collections. Now, things are rough again financially for me, but, IMHO, I'm not finding so much music to buy, anyway.
