My dad used to buy chevys untill he got a 93 S-10. Brand new off the lot the thing was a pos so he traded it for a 94 Ranger and it took 200,000 miles of beatings. Now all the family buys is Fords. So yeah Ford>chevy.

Hahaha, Chevy and (Dont hate on my opinion please) Toyota's trucks are the best. My grandfather has a 1990 ranger 2.9. It has been pretty reliable although it did have to have the tranni rebuilt. But the frame is SOOOO weak on the thing. I stood on the bumber and the frame was flexing like there was another ranger raping the thing. Its deffinately NOT the best truck, more along the lines of the worst. Next to Nissan.

@MrTallPants Each company has its lemons my ranger i had less problems with that truck than my buddy had with his 2004 chevy he went through 3 transmissions 2 transfercases and 2 rear ends and it was a road queen never saw dirt. I with my ford ranger beat on my truck 3 times as hard as he did with his i am still on the original everything with the exception of small stuff O2 sensors and such. So each company has there good vehicles and there bad

My grandfather owns a 1991ish S10 and we were trying to get a big ass tree out of a house and my grandfather hooked that motherfucker up to his S10 and pulled it. That tree just came out of there like a charm. Then he stuck his head out of the window and said "Never underestimate an S10!"

Just a hunch...Ranger quickly stole the top spot from Chevy, even when they brought out the Colorado/Canyon, though recently yes, Ford has given up on the Ranger unfortunately, it's all about the almighty F series now.
