@ZZsk8taZZ Something that wasnt mentioned in the video... after you finish this tutorial, leave your xbox on for an hour or so, to re-solder the gpu to the motherboard. once done, you have an extremely decreased chance of getting rrod again.
Bull...This is proven to FUCK up your xbox 360...Don't trust this guy...Watch the video on my channel for a PERMANENT and EASY FIX to your xbox 360's RROD.
you all are so dumb to fic rrod open xbox up get a heat gun heat up the gpu and cpu put some thermal paste on it do the xclamp trick as it shoes there, doesnt really matter is you do the x clamp trick or not all you need to do really is thermal paste and heat the motherboard up.
@BRWNKIDS1 Old clamps are BAD! Bill gates had his head up his ass with this one, the clamps suck. they put stress on the motherboard, resulting in the GPU coming undone because of the heat and tension. The screws do a much better job of preventing failure.
The only thing that concerns me is that while you did indeed secure the heatsink to the processors you also decoupled the heatsinks from the metal chassis which is an extension of the heatsinks which futher disapate heat, now they are just floating...hope the heatsinks alone is enough, I think a method in which you can utilize the coupling to the chassis might be an improvement.
hi your first video didnt work for me so i will try this 2morow but is the tall heat sink supposed to get burning hot like 30 seconds after i turn the xbox on? thanks
Yeah that's perfectly normal. Imagine all that heat coming from the processor without any method of heat dispersion. They would just fry, literally. So yeah be careful of the heat sinks as they are HOT. The reason for the slits in them is so pockets of air can get in between and the heat can disperse into the air and extracted through the fan. Good luck! =)
i wanna see it work :stare:

Those washers are viyl, not plastic. Some cheapo kits substitute plastic washers, and they warp.
VINYL washers, FTW.

The big prob for me is whether or not it is permanent. I've been using Silicone Sealent (Heat Compound) and it worked - for a week.
I've bought Arctic Siler 5 , will this be permanent?????????!!!!!!!!!
