  • Soulja boy came to Springfield, IL for a concert. Did crank that as first song. Threw shirt in the crowd. Did another song. And asked for his shirt back. Before all of this. We waited 45 minutes just see his goofy ass get on the stage.

  • Daikenkai was actually originally on the arcade Pop'n Music 6, which was released in March of 2001. So it's even earlier than the Soulja Boy shit.

  • I noticed the similarity the first time I played that song in DDR. But it's not the first time a rapper has stolen someone elses rhythm. Haven't you eer heard Stronger? About half of that song was ripped from daft punk.

  • @katiecarrosa Artists besides rappers do that too. Jason Derulo's "In My Head" is strikingly similar to a certain part of the Tekken 2 character select theme. I know it's probably a coincidence, but not knowing that for sure means that there's still the possibility that the artist ripped it off. That's why you gotta bring this stuff up. FOR GREAT JUSTICE.   • Chamillionaire on that list? Actually, the syllable pattern involves a bunch of twisting, since he does some speed flowing. So I'm not sure if he belongs on it.

    And Daikenkai's chorus pattern is:

    ~ is normal, - is a smaller delay between each syllable. Tsuboi twists it up there with a two-syllable Japanese word, "kara", and makes it almost sound like one syllable.

    Still, Daikenkai is an awesome song, absolutelyt love it on DDR, where as Crank That gets very annoying, very fast.

  • Honestly, I really don't hear a similarity. The tempo is the same, yes, but there are plenty of other songs with the exact same tempo, I'm sure. Now, if, say, the same guitar riff was found in Crank Dat, then you'd have an argument. Either way, though, Soulja Boy sucks. Daikenkai is far better.
