  • Noitce the pistol Roddy is carrying at 2:16. It's in a holster attched to his belt buckle behind his back.

  • What year was this?!

  • little did young Colt know, he would be an MMA fighter in the not so distant future

  • 3:08 LIES!!!!! hahaha shoulda been true though

  • Piper was totally awesome. I'm a young 40yo now :-) I'm lucky as a 10yo kid I got to see Piper on tv and live at our local Auditorium just about every Monday night in SC. He was on Georgia Championship Wrestling and Mid-Atlantic Wrestling at the time and had classic feuds with Jack Brisco, Flair, Steamboat, Sgt. Slaughter, Greg Valentine, Don Muraco and so many more. All those guys were not even in their prime yet but not far off. Piper was my fav.

  • My dad was the principal of the high school his two eldest daughters went too. My dad and I saw him at wrestlemania 19. I just communicated with his daughter on facebook the other day

  • you could'nt ask to meet a nicer man

  • anyone else thinks it's ironic how 80's star Hulk Hogan ended up cheating his way to stardom and his family is ...well, you know?

....And Piper always did things his way and look how great he ended up...Makes you think...Maybe winning the belt on a main event Wrestlemania isnt all its cracked up to be afterall.....

  • "most hated wrestler" means he did his job flawlessly

  • Dated is daughter and LOVED IT!!!!

  • @JonathanWZ Yea you did!

  • @JonathanWZ no you did not u dumbass

  • @ericfried87 I sure did Fat Boy.. Your not her type. She does not like large guys that talk iish online because it makes them feel like they are kool.

  • @JonathanWZ awwwwwwww i got a hater how cute

  • @JonathanWZ really????

  • Class act. Nobody could make you love the bad guy like Roddy!

  • @mkstainton that is where stone cold got it from... Roddy was the original asshole that got loved not stone cold...

  • I used to hate Roddy "Hot Rod" Piper to his inner core back during the 80's wrestling era, especially with his "Piper's Pits" promo; looking back, I really, really love this guy now...such a fun and entertaining time!

If I see Roddy today, I would buy him a nice lunch with his choice---and I ain't kiddin' any of you!...

Good luck and best wishes to you, Hot Rod!!!...YOU'RE THE GREATEST!!!

  • ha ha he's great

  • this man loved the wrestling business more than any other ever

  • 5 stars what a great guy just like me.......

  • Always love the hot rod. One of the best of all times.Living were it all started pacfic northwest.

  • nice house, pretty cool to see he is not living in a trailer

  • A true legend.

  • Roddys a good guy

To me he was always the best wrestler

  • The "stars" on Cribs should see this. This is what a home should look like.

  • Roddy nice guy, blessings man.

    Canada Rocks

  • @kirkwanglers32 i remmeber delivering pizza to piper in woodbrige nj, he lived in a complex called sharon gardens next to woodbridge center mall

  • Wow Rods marriage is one of the longest wrestling marriages.

  • That's cool. Roddy is clearly a really good family man.

  • Is this a new book Piper's going to put out or are they referring to his "In the Pit with Piper" book that came out in '02 or '03?

  • half a dozen kids? god bless him

  • I'm so happy to see Rod doing well, most wrestlers from his era live broken lives.

  • I don't care how old Roddy is . He is hot .

Sexy voice and great body . WOW!

  • piper's pit was the best !!!

  • Piper the man ,a legend in his own time, piper you are my hero

  • Nice to hear that.

  • My all time favorite wrestler. He seems to be a good man. He went through allot of crap in his life and made good out of it. Thanks for the post.

  • Hot R0d. May God Bless You.

1980's All about You! Thanks for the memories.

  • Roddy Piper's home life compared to Hogan's is just a perfect concrete example of much more of a man and a genuine human being Piper is. Hogan seems to be a good guy, but he definitely has a much more difficult time trying to separate his ego from what's really important. Piper was always the most engaging to watch, because he wasn't as predictable as Hogan.

  • You know, I am a mom of 3 teenage boys and I never approved of wrestling EXCEPT for when it came to this man. There was always something special about him and this video confirms it. Thanks for posting it and get well soon Roddy!

  • 6 kids! This man is a machine!!!

  • without Rowdy Roddy Piper, Hulk Hogan and wrestling will never be that popular in the 1980's.

Roddy was the MAN TO HATE!

  • thats very true...a hero is only as good as his villain.

  • he has luck to be alive today. many wrestlers died before they reached 40 years. that's one of the bad things of stereoids. i like roddy piper. he's a funny guy . chews bubble gum and kicks ass!

  • He must be struggling, his

    place is a dump!

  • you're a knob

  • he seems a little scary but entertaining

  • Hope your feeling well Piper.

  • GO HOT ROD - you can beat this cancer. It's the hardest fight you'll ever win, but consider the cancer Mr. T and kick its ass!

  • Piper get well soon man.

  • How can you not love this man!

  • get well soon hot rod!!!!

  • Wow, really great find. Thanks for this.

  • Piper is the man! That was awesome! He never did win the WORLD title, but that was because WWF never wanted Hulk Hogan to lose in the 80's. Otherwise he would have had as many or more titles than Ric Flair.

  • During Piper's heyday as a heel, the WWF would have lost viewership with him as a titleholder. Basically, he was too good at being bad to be champ.

  • @HeathInClearLake Not necessarily true. People would have got the Floyd Mayweather syndrome, where you tune in every Saturday or Pay per view to see somebody win the title from him.

  • cool video!

  • What a great guy!

  • wow. was was so dope

  • Omg...im soo not use to seeing him like this but its good. Wrestlers have their crazy side and softer sides.

  • Wow this was great, thanks for much for sharing this. He is my all time favorite wrestler. Its nice to see how he is at home with his family.

  • Title history NWA Americas champion (Los Angeles) 1976-77 NWA Americas Tag (Los Angeles) 1976-78 NWA U.S. Champion (San Francisco) 1978 NWA Pacific Northwest tag champion 1978-80 (4) NWA Pacific Northwest champion 1979-80 (2) Canadian Tag (Vancouver) w/ Rick Martel 1980 NWA Mid-Atlantic TV champion 1980, 83 (2) NWA U.S. champion (Mid-Atlantic) 1981, 83 (2) NWA Mid-Atlantic champion 1981-82 WWF Intercontinental champion 1992 WCW United States Title.
  • He also won the World Light Heaveyweight Championship from Chavo Guerrero in Los Angeles - April 13, 1977

  • I'm surprised at how soft-spoken he is. In all of the times I saw him on TV in both the WWF/E and WCW, he was really on hyper-drive. More proof that who you are in the ring isn't who you are in real life.

  • He had the IC title but I don`t remember a world title.

  • Piper says in this he won the world title with the sleeper? When?

  • what an awesome guy.
