  • remind me never to upset a fat fuck wielding a san mai kukri.

  • @MrJenik007 Calling him a "fat f**k" is a good way of doing that. I think I'll remind you to show some respect or go away

  • I recently brought the San Mai 3 version and sk5 version the San Mai 3 is thicker and there ffor heavier then Sk5 I love them both keep up the good work cold steel

  • Would this knife be appropriate for a teenage boy whose current knife is a Leatherman Squirt? Thank you.

  • have u ever cut your hand with that ... errr .... things ???

  • @chalyx nope

  • Could these same cuts be made with the machete version? I recon not but it doesn't hurt to ask.

  • @Evan1boy the Machete version is a very capable tool but it does not compare to the SanMai III version

  • I'm sure my kitchen could do the same when it comes to cutting beef.

  • I love how cutlerylover's came really dull.

  • thats not a orginal khukuri

  • the original kukris had thick blades for the purposes of parrying, these are somewhat thin

  • Ye but £533 in the UK that's $828 US. i will buy a Kukri but i dont think it will be this one..........

  • @aadrianlee Where do you get those numbers? This costs about $380 USD.

And for all the people whining that it isn't a REAL Kukri, yeah, it's better. Real Kukri's have several flat edges which cannot cut nearly as well as the constant curve provided by this blade.

It's made in Japan, not China.

Someone mentioned chipping-that's user error. VG-10 WILL chip out if you aren't careful and make contact with rocks and other things not meant to be cut.

  • Ever ever ever ever!

    You got that right.

  • See that pussy tear open? effortless penetration!

  • haha did you ever cut your tie of haha

  • how many pigs have they killed ???

  • Robert is the Man!

  • press and hold 4

  • "We can make life saving cuts.... Ask our competition if they can"

    LOL!

  • So now they've added "Gurka" to the name.... Trying to wash the real thing out of the market?

"All Kukri aren't made the same" Too right. The old machete one at least made a nice shape for slicing but this is just a pure bullshit product.

  • @mryellow123 What's "bullshit" is the Nepalese trying to lay claim to this blade design.

Anyone who's even briefly looked up weapons throughout history knows that this blade design was used all over the world.

You can thank the British for mythologizing the gurkhas to the point of total absurdity.

  • @TaskForceSixTwoSix "All over the world"? Familiar with Alexander The Great? Coupled with the fact a good design is a good design, anywhere. It just happens to be an efficient shape for lots of edge to slice from a swing with the human arm.

Light-bulbs and lots of other things pop up in different places at near the same time too. Plenty of reasons for what you say. Will say though the Nepalese make them a bit differently to most and have perfected the design.

  • @TaskForceSixTwoSix Yeah, totally agree.

  • SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!

  • fucking fat faggot... cut your little dick next time

  • This is so amazing, this may sound weird to you, but Robert, your my uncle! My mother is Serenity. It's so amazing to see family do such amazing things... Keep up the good work

  • 1:18 was the pig smiling? Why?

  • Evereverever. Ever guys.

  • Interesting. But cutting isnt only with the blade its technique. Proper technique is how you cut not the blade. You can give someone whos never used a blade in there life the most well made blade but tis worthless if they cannot use it.

  • Roberts cutting technique is downright flawless.

  • Miss Piggy--"Kermit, Please Help ......." eh eh.

Kermit the Frog----" 2nite's Special Folks: PULLED PORK BBQ"

  • that all well and good but wen you buy it are you going to cut a pig head hummm i dont think so it would be use in the wood cutting branch or a tree now that would be a better test ;)

  • that's a lot of acceleration for an effortless cutting ^^

It would be more impressive if those knives could also cut through all the stuff slowly...

  • hey cold steel kukri love

  • Who cares.

I got one original kukri from a ghurka when my father was in nepal cuz of the british army. it's from 1986 or something.

And its much better than this one here.

  • what a good knife

  • they need to make a training version of this all ready.

  • 3:34 we can make life saving cuts like this

  • @chimerified cut an enemy like that..it WILL save your life.

  • @chimerified the grim reaper must be laughing

  • chuck norris called - he wants his pocket knife back

  • @0MysteryHistory0 Its his toothpick. geez :)

  • @skinsandsticks haha lol

  • @skinsandsticks no... its a strand of HIS hair

  • @ricestube ooooo good one. That beats my toothpick one :)

  • does it come with the funny fatman?

  • LOL, ever, ever, ever,EVAR!!

  • In norway it cost $1032 :(

So I ordered 3 knives from nepal for $390 :)

  • Impressive tests but if I came home with $600 worth of Chinese slave labour my wife would castrate me me with it for spending the money then decapitate me with it for buying something made by oppressed slaves!

I've got panawal dotted from knivesbyhand made by hand by an american from his garage $60 plus shipping up to me in Canada! This thing is a tank!

  • Meat vs knife... knife is always going to win.

  • my nepalese has a thicker blade than that and is made out of the leaf spring of a truck plus it is heat tempered

  • "thats why you pay the big bucks and get a san mai ghurka kukri" ...you mean...to cut the heads off of dead pigs and proceed to cut it into pieces?

  • cold steel just had there parking lot sale it was sick. i go there every year Ventura CA locals

  • Gurka means Pickle in swedish, without the "H"

  • WTF.......

  • Yes but will it blend? that is the question.

  • are u selling that tolit paper tube

  • even tho i do like some cold steel knives when it comes to a kukri i will stick with my handmade heat tempered nepalese thats from nepal and dont cost even close to that

  • @jman98403 yeah, im not a fan of the price either. but i like the fact that with cold steel, i know what type of steel i am getting, and the blade is very thick

  • do you guys cook that stuff up after?

  • @CaliforniaXlivin They give the food to homeless people.

  • When the zombies come, i'm crashi'n at ur place cold steel, LMAO

  • My god, he can make extra pig vaginas with a flick of a wrist?!

    Now thats what I call...

    *puts on sunglasses*

    "Effortless Penetration"

    YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

  • Jon Runyan works for Cold Steel?

  • the pig looked suprised.

  • i got 25lbs of solid meat right here

  • this thing is bigger than most peoples...legs!!!

    nice save cold steel

  • A maniacal version of Billy mayes!!!

  • this guy reminds me of a Billy Maze....

  • alright.. that fucker that cut throught almost 16 things of rope is a BBEEEAAASSSSTTT! getting punched by him would, maybe, pollibly put you in the ER? I wonder what would happen if kimbo slice came up to cold steel for a day..

  • like this comment if u think this is the most impressing video of a cold steel product

  • I often wonder why I don't have a single Cold Steel knife in my collection of blades, which is fairly extensive and contains many pieces of similar price and quality to their stuff. But as I watched this video, it hit me... it's because I've watched too many of Lynn's videos. What a wad! I guess I just don't want to give him any of my money.

  • WOW I gotta have it I just got into the blade shape cause of its cutting power just love it!

  • To the guy above:

The VG-1 center has a rolled edge, which means it chips much more faster than a cantled edge in return for a much more sharper edge.

420j is what gives San Mai it's strength, the cheaper the stainless steel is the softer it is, softer means tougher

It is worth it's price, the manufacturing conditions are extremely expensive compared to other single-steels.

  • what an annoying fat egomaniac

  • if a caveman can do it...

  • Now lets cut a crocodile

  • hahaha the slow motion part hahahah 2:11

  • 3:20 - 3:40 sounds a bit rehearsed and he forgot his lines a bit.

  • 52 pickup just became 104 pickup 2:30 Lol =D

  • effortless penetration

  • @breakerrythangallday That's what I said about your mom last night XD.

  • Comment removed

  • At least he made his own society and even leads the showoff so STFU people

  • san mai is a FARCE.

the vg1 center CRUMBLES and CHIPS with contact with bone or dirt

the outer layer is 420J and is dirt cheap.

it is NOT worth its price.

The carbon steel suspension spring khukri's mentioned by the guy below, are many, many times tougher than any stainless steel. Also many times cheaper.

  • @downwithemery I agree that it's not worth the price but down with emery? reallly?

seems like you're just another one of these glass half empty youtubers, just sayin.

  • @downwithemery Evidence? I mean he has a video, it's all talk till I see some proof. However the only point I'll agree to w.o. any is the price factor. To steep for almost anyone.

  • @downwithemery

Nah, it's very nice actually. It's not as fragile as you would like us to believe. He's cutting through bone in this video, you can hear it clicking and it is not chipped. I have several san mai 3 blades and I love them. I'm not going to say its as tough as SK5, but it requires zero maintenance It's always shiny as a mirror. And I DARE you to try to make the cuts in this video with a suspension spring kukri. It'll never happen, monkey fucker.

  • @downwithemery which kukris do you suggest

  • @downwithemery Ikr? My SK9 started rusting day 2. Even the oil stained the blade. Not happy jan.

  • @downwithemery Really? Well thats ok I dont plan on spending 500 hundred bucks for a kukri anyways, I'll buy those handmade authentics for 40 bucks :P carbon steel baby!

  • @downwithemery TORABLADES FOR THE WIN!!!!

  • @downwithemery No, it's really not. The hard core it where it gets its cutting capabilities, any true Katana has the same construction, and no, it doesn't chip on bone or dirt. If you're getting chips then you're using the blade incorrectly. It will chip on rock, any hard steel will. I own a huge collection of Fallkniven, most of which are laminated VG-10 and the same issues are in play. 420J is strong and flexible, otherwise the blade will be too brittle.

NO, leaf spring blades are NOT tough.

  • @seventhSabra

you have falkniven do you have that laminated convex edge bowie that looks suspiciously like the trailmaster? It looks like a beast.

  • @tallswede80 Most all their stuff is laminated with convex edge, but I think you mean the Thor or Odin. No, don't own then "yet"... that series has 5 blades plus a special edition version. I have the Idun (4") and Njord (6" Bowie)... the Thor will be next. Most of my Fallkies are the survival blades with a few exceptions. I have an A1 (blank), S1 w/micarta scales and Swinkles custom sheath, F1 and F1 3G. Then I have some Bark Rivers, ESEE, and a bunch of other goodies.

  • @seventhSabra hello seventhsabra, i have had a coldsteel trail master in san mai the edge retention toughness and flexibilty were amazing but on batoning i did have small chips nothing major easily sharpend out, and even nutnfancy agrees with me one of hte top knife reviews guys outhere but cs blades rock got the sk5 version of this its amazing

  • @USAisgay Nutnfancy is a fool.

  • lmao i always laugh when I think about the fact that the meat gets preserved to help the needy. they must wonder wtf people are doing with perfectly good whole pigs :P

  • I guess they don't let Lynn cut the turkey at Thanksgiving

  • Cold Steel needs to use those ballistic gel torsos of people in their videos.

  • imagine if he did that while the pig was alive god wat would it look like

  • 5:22, Luke lose his balance, fall, taking Lynn's shoulder, that cuts him in half with his kukri.

  • hope they have a barbecue afterwards!

  • best Knife for the zombie apocalypse

  • God damn.... If only cold steel wasn't an American made company because if it was say made in china the same quality blade would cost about a third of the price

  • i love this, to bad its like 500 bucks =\

  • @TheTNPer 350 on yourcornerstore.

  • @TheTNPer I Seen it listed for under $200 on some sites. Not my Kind of Knife though, too small and light for me. I'm getting one from Thekhukurihouse site. i'll either get the "No Mercy" or "the defender" both awesome blades and hand made from suspension springs.

  • "Hear those ribs break? Effortless penetration." hahahaha

  • ....I want one...no....no I want 2 XD

  • why is anything in san mai steel so expensive?

  • @CrotalusKid1 Cause its expensive steel.

  • @CrotalusKid1 learn how the hell you make and you'll know, its like making a paper crane out of a half inch square of paper.

  • @wingzero7X wait, making a crane out of a 1/2 square inch piece of paper is hard to make?

  • @CrotalusKid1 LOL

  • what's that black thing he's cuttn at 2:40?

  • @JorritEnzo A leather bag full of meat.

  • This blade is amazing! I looked it up on cold steel, and the only problem is its over $700!!! I think that might be a little too steep, now if it was $500, I wouldnt hesitate buying it!

  • @TheScientificBackpac Its like 350 dude.

  • @TheScientificBackpac look on ebay.. i got mine for 400

  • And this little piggy went, "OH $H!T !" lol 1:15

  • Choppin's a good job, mate.

  • "When you're in a pinch and you life is at stake"

I use my gun.... coz it's illegal to carry a blade...... =3

  • @vondat3456 not true. maybe where u are but its a balde over a certain length that is illeagle where i am.

  • This man needs to take his San Mai and carve off a few slabs of fat from his ass.

  • Lynn needs to figure out that we already had a narration telling us about the knife, we don't need it again, just get to the cutting.

  • dude! hes excited :O

  • i don't understand as he said, "a lot of people don't understand you don't always have to make huge cuts, with just a flick of my wrist i can make huge cuts. Look at that a huge cut with just a flick". isn't that contradicting what you are trying to convey? Lol Lynn, you always crack me up.

  • @LiFetommi im pretty sure he meant to say "dont have to make huge movements to make huge cuts" or something like that, oh lol

  • ever ever ever everrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr xD

  • "cuts like a chainsaw" made me giggle.

  • i just asked you competition, they said yes

  • is it full tang?

  • "hear those ribs break? effortless penetration"

THAT is something you do NOT want to hear during sex ^^

  • does the san mai steel make the kukri more sharp?

I mean couldn't they do the same tests with the sk-5? or maybe with the katana machete or the two handed series?

    hmm :) a two handed san mai ghurka kukri^^ it's kukri-licious^^

  • what do u think? pig kill of the week

  • i wonder if he actually sliced the pigs head off becuase they switched cameras

  • @RCM2210 Look carefully. They did it.

  • @RCM2210 good point of view

  • Stab through a car door lmao im sold

  • i want that kukri

  • i have a 12 inch gurkha....in my pants........awkward

  • 0:58 Yeah you dont need to make huge cuts. But with a flick of your wrist, you can make huge cuts! WOW...

  • have you ever considered adding the iberian falcta/greek kopis to your sword collection i wol like to see a similar blade geometry on a wapon like the kopis

i heard it had HUGe amounts of power.

  • Lynn is HILARIOUS "ever ever ever ever"

    he's great LOVE Cold Steel

  • oh I wish had the money for this sucker... :(

  • Okay, now that you explained the cardboard tube, I'm impressed at the cuts on it.

  • @Zolofgonnakillallya

likewise. i didn't know it was so tough!

  • I just bought this yesterday and the regular kukri today! omg these feel so nice in my hands! =]

  • Best knife video i have ever seen.
