anyway, i just got this device and i'm loving it. it all depends on what you're looking for. if you want to play games and have apps, then get an ipod touch. if you're only interested in listening to music, then get the nano. i'm very happy with this device. it fits my needs perfectly

K, look. It is my birthday soon. I went into my Mom's purse to get her phone, and I saw a blue bag from Best Buy with something hard and square in it. I looked in the bag, being my curious self, and there was an Ipod Nano 6g. PLEASE HELP! I need feedback. I am angry for ruining the surprise, anxious because now I had an ipod, and worried because if my parents are going to spend that much money on me I want them to spend it well. perhaps this isn't the approach that apple should have taken with the nano alltogether, but I think it certainly reaches a niche market

However, I think many of the comments that I see are stupid. people complain about a lack of camera and such. even with the 5g, if you are planning on viewing vid or pics, you should be looking for a bigger screen... I agree that this screen is small, but it is responsive and gives an element of personalization that you couldn't get with the shuffle or previous models of the nano

I love my new nano. But, take this into consideration... I use it solely for listening to music, to and from class, going to sleep, etc... and working out. In fact, I primarily use it in the gym, and for that function, it is perfect. I also own a 2g nano that is 2gb and while I am used to the size, the storage capacity leaves much to be desired... I recieved the 6g as a gift and having previously read many negative comments beforehand, I was a little discouraged....

You guys! Haven't you remembered that the original iPod was meant just for music? Apple is probably expecting this Nano to be more popular with users that don't want the extra apps and stuff, like me, and maybe they didn't add that stuff so that they can come out soon with a newer version with apps and stuff so they don't run out of ideas, which I think'll be happening pretty soon.

the features dropped from the previous ipod nano are: taking video, gaming, camera, speaker, and microphone. I think they will add some of these back in the nano in the future, but for now because of the size (and prob some weird apple reasons) they dropped a bunch of features.
