  • Wow, after hours of studying how to get sfml work your video helped me the most :) thank you!

  • FUCK!! It's not a fucking race SLOW DOWN!

  • @Rs4noobs If only there was some way to slow down the video yourself. Like a pause button or something.

  • Hey, was really useful, thanks.

  • Great Video it helped alot.

  • thanks for this!

  • Thanks, very helpful.

  • thanks for the vid !!!

  • wow, i tried to make SFML work for 2 weeks and this tut was the only solution. TYTYTY love u <3

  • You have no idea how much this helped, thanks a load XD

  • Thank you mate its the second time your video helps me installing SFML, I wish they could have made an easy tutorial like yours - cheers!

  • Bro, Can you help me? I followed your tutorial and made it work, however when i do other tutorials that include graphics in them i get the error LNK2019. Am i the only one having this?

  • YES it works! thanks~! I saved your vid just in case I will forget how to do it again later =]

many thanks now I can finally code on sfml

  • Thanks!

  • Thanks a lot it was very helpful.

  • Thank you very much!

  • I'm still having some issues getting this working - but THANKS @akaKitchen for taking the time & effort to put up this video - it made it much clearer to me the process of what needs to be done :)

  • @EoN604 What time? It was just like click-click-clclick-click-done

  • Thank you very much for uploading this. I was wracking my brain trying to set up a project using SFML. The tutorial on the SFML website omitted some key steps, and I was getting linker errors. This vid cleared it up. Thanks.

  • What a waste of time doing this..I did everything in the video and nothing happens..

  • one more thing, why doesnt someone just upload the rebuild version >_>

    gonna save time and trouble

  • so i have to rebuild sfml manually?

come on , what a pain in the ass.

  • @eternity899

Yeah so we have to do this for every new project (the c++ setting up part)? Or i guess we could just use the test sfml project as the template for future sfml projects??

    Thx for the vid aka

  • @PICLex huh why u asking me lol.

basically this video explains how to rebuild sfml to work with the new version of visual studio.

you just have to be careful to do the linking for the sfml libraries right in each project.

yeah you can use the test project as a template.

but if you wanna use other sfml features like graphics or network

you will also have to add their respective libraries

  • @eternity899

Haha see that's why im askin ya, thx for the info. ;)

  • doesnt work at all.

    SFML/System.hpp can not be found.

did everything exactly like in the video

  • @MikeWhiskyTango: Did you use GCC?

    Now I:

It doesn´t work right. I had this mistake every time:

sfml-system-s-d.lib(Platform.obj) : warning LNK4099: PDB "vc90.pdb" wurde nicht mit "sfml-system-s-d.lib(Platform.obj)" oder an "Q:\Projekte c++\Lernen068\Debug\vc90.pdb" gefunden; Objekt wird verknüpft, als ob keine Debuginformationen vorhanden wären.

  • @Checkmateing fixed

  • Very helpful, thank you!

  • Thanks very much for this, it's fixed all the problems I was having trying to set up SFML in Visual Studio 2010.

    Thanks!

  • Thank you. I found this advice very helpful, and now I have SFML built and ready to use on Visual Studio 2010.

  • At the end of all that I get an error saying 'cannot open source file SFML/System .hpp

    ... damn!

    Typical!

  • I can't open it with visual studio 2010, only with 2008. No "open with..."

  • I'm unable to get the Release static to compile, it says it succeeds but i am missing the release library for audio and some other of the projects. Is there any change you can send or put up the libraries on mediafire or something? Thanks.

  • thanks man this helped me build sfml on VS2010 Win7 x64. Hopefully this engine is a lot simpler than some of the others I've been trying...

  • How did you delete ftp, opengl, pong, etc...?

    Which buttons did you use..?

I have tried using the Delete button but I just cannot do it...

I have also tried building without deleting these files, but it gives me "failed" ...

    Thank you...

  • @longtipaklong If hitting the delete key doesn't work, try right clicking them (you may have to do this one at a time) and clicking "Remove".

  • :) helpful
