@hypemike I don't want to start a ridiculous fight about wich album is crap or isn't but in MY opinion 4:13 is one of their best. I like very much The Cure album as well, and I think Cure has never made an album that entirely suck (maybe in 4:13 there are certain songs that suck).

@hypemike You should give it another try. The album has few songs that are comparable to their best older stuff. And the sound is far from bad either. It's just not that polished refined sound you are used to. It's Robinson's trademark. The guy is genius in sound engineering, trust me, he's a future legend.

Robinson sucked...the band members didn't really all like him either...Simon hated him and the album was not bad but definitely not the best by any means. they would have done much better with someone else! ther ewere a few songs on the album that were good and some that were just awful!

I have to disagree with you. The album was really bad (the only bad album in the entire Cure's repertoire). It has got nothing to do with whether it sounds Nu-metal or not. I am not too sure whether Ross Robinson was the culprit, though. But the album was shockingly poorly made and the song-writing by Cure's standards was terrible. This might have been a good album if they had taken more care. I mean there are two or three good songs on there but the rest are just fillers.
