2.5 moa in a precision rifle 0_o. m82 is such a blast to shoot (no pun intended) but its accuracy seems to limit its practical aplication. sure the round will hit hard past 2000 meters but the group that the rifle is physically capable of producing at that range is 50 inches, no bueno. sexy gun none the less.

The purpose of the rifle is to kill or destroy. How are you going to do that effectively if you have to keep having to reacquire your sight picture after every shot because you get knocked on your ass? If someone gave me a .50 cal rifle with the kick of an M-16, I'd take it any day over any other weapon for long range shots.

The REAL Barrett .50 Cals, used by US Marines is around $11K; those are bolt action which means they are much much more accurate and do more damage since it is a one shot thing, it's still magazine held but it's a bolt action. Something like this is a newer version and is not widely used in the military because u wouldn't need a semi-automatic .50 Cal when it's supposed to be a One shot one kill type of thing. This one is probably around $7,000-9,000
