Richmond, Surrey at Cheeky Pete's! Best club in London at the time for music. For those who like this type of music check out Point Blank FM, every Wednesday, 90.2 FM or on line (just Google it and listen live) for the Dave Stewart show from 7.00 till 12.00. Takes you back and some great sounds.
This things is absolutely rare. Thanks for uploading it so the world can hear this perfect combination of dance floor groove, and jazzed out soul. One of the best in the crate.
One of my favourite classic songs and i was born in '87 !! Glad i was brought up on this sort of music. This is the only song i have ever known to have such a long intro :P

I adore this!!! But as I try to share it with other people from my country (Italy), nobody appreciates it. So I'm starting to think that only American ears may love this song; yet I wasn't born in U.S.A., but in Southern Italy. :(
@2009Denisem Thank you for sharing as always Big Sis!!!! You know Al Hudson & The Soul Partners are one of my favorites also.....they have such a mellow sound and harmonize so sweetly!!!! Sing it Fellas!!!!
@soulie101 Thank you for posting this awesome upload!!!!
@tbonemagnum 'Made in the UK' as in the vinyl pressing, not the recording...this is US symphonic soul all the way through, and one of my most prized 12" singles!
Made in the U.K.! Wow, if I didn't know better I'd say this is straight up Philly sound from the 70's. Leon Huff and Gamble. Al Hudson didn't get the recognition that he deserved. He was great! This is great quality disco, sound of Philly influenced. This is definitely Garagestyle and reminds me of Larry Levan (RIP)
Yay! This is a Bella's daddy fabulous tune. See that's what I love about your emails Phil; blasts from the past that I haven't heard for such a long time. Reminds me of falling in love in sunny Teneriffe, cocktails, late, late nights and excited anticipation for the unknown future.... Jayne xxx Big fat ones to you and D xxx
