Abe's hands are just blessed!! I love his "rasgueado" technique!! Him and Victor Wooten are just plain awesome, but nevertheless, Abe is my favorite bassist!!
@kinshasaAPP They don't have to. I have a Status Empathy 5 (cocobolo). I depends on how you set the eq. Mine has a bright boost/normal/cut switch + bass, treble, sweep, pan and volume. I usually play my Carvin SB5000 though, great bass.
@andyfen0 And you're absolutely right. It depends on what he wanted to achieve at that time. Remember he can be the master of regular deep toned bass playing as well
@yeebeascurvydawg Oh no! You again? When will you learn to respect and appreciate the talent and musicianship of Mr Abraham Laboriel - the greatest bassist in the whole world (in my humble opinion of course).
@yeebeascurvydawg My nemesis! When will you learn to polish your language? '... why his tone is so ****** on every video I've seen?'. How will you aspire to greatness you deliberately make unsavoury comments about it. Don't be surprised if greatness eludes you because you can't appreciate it.
wow.....im alredy 14 years old...but there's so many thing to know to become one of him..........:>thats y God is amizing.......thanks lord 4 the talent
Absolutely one of the best of all time, and perhaps the bassest that should be the most appreciated. He really does not receive enough praise from he press.
@bob4247 To me he's a living bass treasure whose live should be documented and archived for posterity - videos, basses, interviews, techniques, biography, etc. You should read the disparagaing and denigrating remarks by yeebeascurvydawg about Mr Abraham Laboriel.
@miiiiiiikatos There are those that can and those who can't. If they can't, then they bitch. It mostly amounts to putting in the time to practice and study the music. The very best have worked very hard to make what they do look easy. I say if you're a player and you're not as good as say Abe, put the time in and you may get close to his greatness. It is a much better use of ones time that just ripping down greatness because you are too lazy to work to get to that level.
Wow , awesome 2 minutes of bass solo!

@yeebeascurvydawg It all depends on the setting and what bass he uses. Have you heard his more recent stuff from wyn bass?
