Actually I liked cloverfield a lot, I went to the theater 3 times to see cloverfield, the 3 times I got dizzy but I liked the movie, very good movie and smartly made. District is stupid movie, the agent guy is laughable, he is like mr bean dealing with aliens. If the aliens have the ability to maintain hovering they can move or repulse borders and cutting into a FTL capable ship is unlikely, more like they would park in orbit and barter tech for materials or just use shuttlecraft to take it, use space junk or asteroids.

I have seen it, but people are talking about a sequel like it's already been announced. Just because it sets itself up for a sequel doesn't mean there is gonna be one. A lot of movies have done that. And I think there shouldn't be one. I think it should be left at that. I mean, would you do a sequel to E.T. or Fight Club, it just doesn't work.

well, you arent entirely right. the very last shot of the movie stated there is going to be a district 10, housing 2.5 million aliens+ christopher johnson said he would return to vikus in 3 years, which is the approximate time it takes to make a movie like this. btw, fight club did not open itself up for a sequel, it was just a surprise ending

man this movie was so damn awesome! I hope they do a sequel but I hope they don't rush it and do a good job because a movie this good will spark high expectations for the the next one... Gotta know what happened next! Oh and Cloverfield 2 is a must too!

I actually would like to see a sequel. But how will the aliens be when they come back.
Are they going to put the human name to shame or are they just gonna get their kin and leave? Lots of questions await to be answered. This movie is crushing everything at the box office so we all know there's gonna be a sequel. I would rather see a sequel to this movie than a a halo movie. That's something I hope never turns into a movie. Halo is great but please remain a game and books.

People in my theater were walking out, sleeping, groaning because it wasn't ending....the movie was HORR-I-BLE!!!!! From Slates bad review I have a problem with this movie,I don't expect Sci fi to be !00% hard science or as proto science accurate as possible but when the scenario is to fit a allegory I dislike it, screw alien Apartheid!
If the aliens have the ability to maintain hovering they can move or repulse borders and cutting into a FTL capable ship is unlikely, more like they would park in orbit and barter tech for materials or just use shuttlecraft to take it, use space junk or asteroids.
