  • Ustad Rashid Khan should've been sitting on the floor, not at the same level on the seat next to Panditji.

  • Two Gods of Indian Classical Music. Loved it .....

  • @belgamkar2009 Calling Rashid Khan a God is too much though.

  • !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Indian Classical Music is divine! It has evolved over several centuries and Indians ought to be extremely proud of what they are offering to this world. We have 2 divine singers here: Pandit Bhimsen Joshi and Ustad Rashid Khan who are offering us this very divine Miyan ki Todi.

  • Supreme beauty!!!

  • wah wah - pandit ji very devine how much respect is being given to pandir ji by rashid khan we can clearly see

  • 19 'Bandishein' in Raag Bhairav by Sadarang/Adarang published.

    htt p:// ban dishein.wordpre ss . com/

  • jai ho gurudev !

  • panditji is no more... what a vacuum is created by his demise... may his soul rest inn peace.

  • I feel immensely pleased to hear the music of Pt.Bhimsen Joshi everyday! What a gifted musi cian HE is. Today I saw in the news item that HE is critically ill. I PREY T

  • Very good explanation of the role of each artist in a jugalbandi by Ustad Vilayat Khan ji.

  • most divine music and divine singers. mera pranam to pujya bhoimsenji. Ustad, bahoot khub

    Jai Ho....Madhu

  • yeh log kabhi besure bhi hote hai keya??? kamaal hai bhagwan ki kirpa hai

  • This is the beauty of being steeped in culture and tradition. It enriches with a graceful attitude. This is why Guru-Shisya parampara is so important aspect of the training in classical style.

    Heartfelt salaam to the maestros.

  • @ileeshmach I agree with u completely. But they (both Panditji and Ustaadji) are more exception than norm. There are many adepts who are also victims of their king size egos. In such a situation, these two maestros come across as a vivid example of how it should be, rather than how it actually is.

  • I like the sound of the tabla most of all. This guy sure knows his art.

  • Around a year back , Pt Viswamohan Bhatt , during a performance , commented that some musicians have been trying for quite some time to launch a 24 hour Indian Classical Music channel . But advt money is not guaranteed... so.....

  • A new TV channel dedicated to Indian Classical Music will be a very nice idea to revive it and to generate interest of the youth in it. One who will hear classical music for once , will definitely forget the new-age 'Uchal-Kood-junglee' music.

  • Comment removed

  • lets start a TV channel dedicated to indian cl;assical, hindustani as well as carnatic

  • let all of us listners of indian classical mu sic demand an exclusive tv and radio channel for classical music.

  • @vineymehra I am in agreement.

  • Miya Tansen must be saying this is the way to sing his Todi!

  • Door Darshan is the only channel in India right now who keep aliving Indian Classical Music...it's very important in now day when so many other music trends coming in India so Indian peoples going away from Indian Classical Music & from Indian Culture as well... :-(

  • @ask2ankit

Very true, while other commercial channels are only making money DD has kept classical music alive.

  • @ask2ankit Even there is DDBharati which is also protecting our culture.

  • Thaks also to Door Darshan! They should sell all these interviews and performances as DVDs! It is a brilliant way to generate revenue! PTV are you listening? and pakistan radio and AIR Please come out of your shells!

  • divine that is all I can say! Thanks for you tube

  • KEYA BATT HAI....PRICELESS!!

  • 2 lions of humanity, 2 live legends

  • WOW This is a treat. Cannot thank you enough for this upload rnulu :))

  • Utmost divine. See the respect to each other and the passion to sing, Rashid Khan never tried to overshadow Panditaji, shows respect to the Legend besides him. This is India

  • @ruptej123 correct

  • @ruptej123 Not that Rashid did not try ... just that he could not overshadow Bhimsen Joshi. Best to give credit where it is due.

  • @VVKY10 absolutely!Listen carefully and you will know the difference in the texture, grains of the voices..one is that of a Maestro and the other ..not to belittle him but Rashid Khan seems ordinary,in comparison.

  • @bitan86 It's not just voice quality and voice control. Bhimsen is streets ahead in conceiving and linking phrases. In a totally different league from Rashid. Sadly, due to obvious reasons, Rashid gets hyped up.

  • @VVKY10 totally agree!Your comment reminds me of a something.I don't know if you would agree to this but the same is the case with Amjad Ali Khan and his sons..he stands no where near to the GOD! Ustd Ali Akbar Khan!! But he gets hyped!:)

  • @bitan86 True and that holds everywhere. Why else would mediocrities like Mohd Rafi, Naushad, and MF Hussain receive so much acclaim?

  • Please listen quetly and enjoy the fragrance or all the flowers on the stage and relax!!

  • Here you go:

    Langara kankariya ji na maro

    more angawa mein lag jayegi

    sun paave mori saas nanadiyan

    chod chod ghar aawengi

  • no doubt that it is an awesome piece of art but i couldnt make out the lyrics. (that itself is the beauty of the song.....) but still could anybody please post the lyrics of this bandish...........

  • INCREDIBLE!

@afgpiece: Stop Trolling. These are the greatest people! Stop commenting on them if all that comes out of you is spite.

  • Vilayatkhanji, Bhimsen Joshi has reached

selfrealization staged decades ago. He is not singing for recognition. In less than one minute, he (Bhimsen Joshi) finds himself one with God. Abh hum ishe kia 'subdue' karenge?

  • Nobody has disrespected Pt Joshi. So take it easy, buddy,

  • awesome!!!!!!!!!!

  • Ustad Rashid khan has a long way to go. He should keep learning from the greats.

  • Ustad Rashid Khan is right there, you should read Pt Bhimsen Joshi's appraisal of Ustad Rashid Khan. Listen to his solo performances, then decide what an excellent singer he is.

  • a long way.???.. he is one of the greatest singer of indian classical music !!!

  • Pundit Joshi makes it sound so easy. Increadible! what a flow of voice.

  • a rare confluence of two greats!!!

  • Miraculous. Captivating. Enchanting. Elevating. Mesmerizing.

  • Subhan Allah (God be praised!!)Wah! Wah!

  • incredible ...

  • kya baat.....thanks a lot

  • Highly melodious performance of The Greatest of Great Singer Bhimsenji

  • Guessed as much.Thanks a million takla3210

  • Any equivalent to this raag in the carnatic tradition.anyone to help answer?Appreciated very much.thanks.

  • Shubha Pantuvarali

  • its a perfect combinationace of technical finesse(panditji) and casual grace(ustadji). also it is very heartening to note the humility of ustadji acknowledging the senior age of panditji, and the humility of panditji to acknowleddge the art of ustadji not paying any attention to his age. this is true culture of the subcontinent: afghanistan, bangladesh, hindustan and pakistan. wah !!!!!

  • and taleban bastards want to erase it influenced by some nomadic doctrines.

  • The credit for arranging this goes to the Late ustad Vilayat Khan Sahib, Whom I consider a real giant among the musicians and a saint. He was breathing his oxygen simply by playing the Sitar and teaching, without any concern for name and fame.

  • A PERSON LIKE BHIMSEN JI HAS NO "SUN SET"....watch the way HE is singing....so relaxed...as if HE is enjoying reading a newspaper & singing..LONG LIVE PANDIT ji....

  • Oh, this is a traditional bandish, "Langar kankariya"... it was also sung by Amir Khan and D.V. Paluskar in Baiju Bawra.

  • wud u have the link of that?

  • It is like watching the great sunset and the sunrise at same horizon !

  • these two ustad ji are the proude od music thanks

  • bliss

  • pure divinity

  • brilliant.
