i got the game on my PC couple of Days ago, i got a ALX area51 alienware brand new with 2 hd5970 in crossfire running at full details 1920xwhatever + 16xAA in DX11 mode, and THE GRAPHICS do NOT LOOK THAT GOOD LIKE IN THIS VIDEO!!

At 1:00 is ALL rendered the actual game does not look like that, the rest of the gameplay is cut short so u dont see how average it looks.

I tell you for the first DX11 game this is pure shit, even Crysis looks way better and that game is OVER A YEAR AGO

you need to right click on the avp icon and select directx 11 to make it look as good as it can, if you just click the icon to start it like that, it runs on the lowest setting

I think the DX9 demo already looks amazing. great level of detail, good textures, awesome lighting, & beautiful art style. If DX11 actually adds to character models & environments like the videos show then this game should look even better than it does now. I hope DX11 gets rid of nasty models found in MW2 & Halo 3 where characters look like plastic shiny toys instead of ppl. Hope DX11 makes AVP look as good as Reach!

One thing that makes me angry about this video is that it does not show this game in DX10 and DX11, for all we know, it won't look all that different, and why I say that is, is because games in the past have done this b4 like saying it supports a higher direct x and you see the demo for that directx, but when it comes to the games, you really don't see that much of a difference.

it might not necessarily look better but it will run faster. i know they said the same about dx10 but ive played around with some dx10 games that have dx11 and the dx11 ran better

okay. so anybody want to tell me that these are graphics not actually around in many games? so in wireframe mode theres ALOT of detail but without its impossible to see a difference. play in wirframe mode an directx11 is awesome, turn wirframe off and i dont see anything cool. am i wrong?

Not sure what you are getting at? The wireframe was there to show the added polygons created using tessellation. Without tessellation the Alien and Predator are more flat, boxy and has less polygons overall.

My system runs with DX10 and GTA4 is running without any cut in performance. But it wasnt exactly the Direct X thang what bothers me, but the low graphics in some scenes. I expected something better looking. Some invironment looks like it would be taken from an PS2 Game

GTA doesn't reguire fast GPU becouse it's very CPU intensive game. I have i7 90@3,5 + GTX260 and it run fine
