when you pull the string through, do you pull it through the holes of the strings that are already on your hand that is pulling? Does the question make sense? lol Sorry if i'm confusing you.

Not sure if I understand what you're trying to say, but when you do the under, over, under, over, and under, the last under is the string you're pulling through to the other side. After you do that, that's when you tighten it to get that chevron arrow look. Does that make sense?
