  • So then is the lead singer from back in the late 80s the same guy who sings lead for the group today then?

  • @GeorgeJonesFan100 No, Ricky Lee Phelps left the group to form Brother Phelps with his brother. Ricky Lee later left Brother Phelps to concentrate on family and on song writing.

  • Have to add, I wish the brothers hadn't left that band. That lead singer was better than later ones.

  • Ah yes, I recall when they broke into country. Great country rock group. Some stations wouldn't play them, said it was an insult to Bill Monroe. But they couldn't ignore this song for long, country fans LOVED it! They were the first "Motley Looking Hair Group" to appear on a country awards show.

  • I love this song it reminds me of my ex well i will have to say sorry my love I'm outta here

  • This must be hillbilly rock, it aint rock, and it aint exactly country.

  • awesome tunage yo :)

  • The IS a bluegrass song! It was recorded way back there by Bill Monroe & The Bluegrass Boys. Bill was from Kentucky so the Headhunters did it in their rocked up style as homage to their fellow Kentuckian, the Father of Bluegrass, Bill Monroe.

  • fantastic band,, awesome tune---love these guys.............

  • I like it very much I just wish they would have taken up collection to buy the drummer a shirt. That is kinda freeky to me, just saying....

  • good swingin song!!!

  • Heavymetal bluegrass is what our DJ called it years ago, whatever u call it, they are original in their sound.

  • the best band ever 2 come out of medcuff county kentucky

  • wait on the next'

  • I FUHKN LOVE THE KENTUCKY HEADHUNTERS

  • - W()()T!

  • It's Bluegrass because it was written by "father of Bluegrass" Bill Monroe and BG Boy at the time Jake Landers... sometime in the 1960s. I do agree it does make a hellova southern rock song... the Great Monroe had soul to spare, which is why he is also in the R&R Hall of Fame.

  • Some even consider Bill's 1940s "Rocky Road Blues" to be maybe the first ever rock' n roll recording! Find it and give it a listen sometime.

  • @BlueBassBoss I thought it being bluegrass had something to do with the instruments that are being used not who wrote the song.

  • I sure do miss the KHH,dammit man!

  • the reason some consider it bluegrass is because it was origionally a bluegrass song. Bill Monroe recorded it back years ago and then the KHH got ahold of it

  • Absoluetly love this song!

  • love double clutching to this shit haha rock out awesome tune !!!
