I have a simple theory on how xana returns for season 5. The replicas were destroyed but not the super computers. Xana backed himself up on one of the hard drives. He just needs some unsuspecting schmuck to click the wrong file. Like when Jeremy turned on the super computer in "xana awakens" any thoughts?

Most of season 4 was pretty good, except when they prematurely killed off the show..

Season 4 should have been about getting William back, and Season 5 should have been about destroying Xana.

ooh, the thought of a new series gives me the chills. that'd be bad ass. I'm curious what the series would be about. like, what reason there would be to turn on the super computer. it'd be neat if they encounter a problem like they carry over their powers from in game outside, like in garage kids, and find it's deteriorating their bodies, and they have to go back to lyoko to fix it. I do wish that they'd push on the mmo, though, rather then the show. I'd love to see that out first.

I have mixed feelings about a season 5. If done well, it will definitely add to the series, possibly answering some questions left over from the original, but it has to take it up a notch in maturity. The audience is older now, and will have matured a bit. Thus, the stakes should by higher and the consequences of failure more severe. I think that human opponents would be a good way to push toward that idea.

However, the finale ended the series so well, I worry about what would come next.

Also, I just want to add that even if this show stays childish, I really wouldn't mind. I would like more maturity to go with how I have grown up, but the reality is that Moonscoop is now catering to a different group of kids who are still just that. Kids. As a child, I appreciated Code Lyoko because it wasn't mindless garbage. It had a plot and kept me constantly trying to figure out what would happen next unlike some other cartoons. If it can do that for today's kids, then I do want it back.

The ending did manage to close the show up, but there were always things never discussed again, like Aelita's childhood and family and other unexplored things that we got a taste of but no real follow-up to.

The only problem I see with making a season 5 is, now thats Xana's gone, what now? The only route I see is to turn this into a quazi-mystery with Aelita trying to piece together her past.

It's not bad, but it lacks any Lyoko action, and I don't know of any appropriate way

to rectify this(save creator tampering).

*shrugs* That's all I have to say.

3) Project Carthage was very important, and the idea this supercomputer, OPERATIONAL to boot, is simply forgotten about is ridiculous to me.

People who want romances (UXY, JXA, etc.) are mostly people who grew up with the show, and want the show to grow with them. But this was made as a kids show, and little romance is not a big deal.

Same with having the casts' kids be the new stars. it doesn't fit with what's there. Too much change is bad, imo.

I feel that the end of season 4 didn't answer some, in my opinion, relevant questions.

Such as:

1)What happened to Aelita's mother? She's kind of dropped, we know nothing of her wherabouts or if she is alive, and at this point is probably the only character who was there from the "beginning"

2)Aelita's past is largely unexplored. Its implied her family had a key role in whatever happened before the heroes stepped in. We're given only glimpses.

This is too long, must make part 2.
