Hi can you please tell me how to copy the data got through vlookup to another worksheet with out the formulas, i mean just the numbers without the formula, thanks
In Excel 2007 or later: Copy the cell, click on the cell you want to paste the copied item into, go to the Home Ribbon Tab, click on the Paste drop-down arrow, Clcik on "Paste Values".
In Excel 2003 or earlier: Edit Menu, Psate Special, Values.
Thank you so much for this. I've been glaring at my spreadsheet wondering why something wasn't working. I'm kind of new to excel so far as writing formulas... thank you. This saved my brain.
You are welcome! If you are new to Excel and need a book to learn from I just finished my first book and it's called "Slaying Excel Dragons"! 550 pages of EVERYTHING the beginner needs to know and only $19 bucks at Amazon!
@ExcelIsFun I will definitely look into it, man. I used this video and then another one a few hours later so you should absolutely get some of my money. :)
Freedom's right :P. I finally understand how VLOOKUP works now! Doubtless, when we move onto Excel in ICT, I'll be able to gloat. Well, at first I'll gloat, then I'll put my head in my hands and sigh as everyone comes up to me asking for help. That happened last lesson. Heh.
i still don't know how you filled down the values, what do i do?
