  • @gianlucafarina11 Grazie!

  • I have an FP-7. Love it so much. Excellent video, yet again. Anyone know what the FP stands for? hehe

  • flipping pricey probley lol

  • What an unbelievable video. You are trueley an incredible player. I was looking for review of the FP-7 and I stumpled on this treasure. Great great great video, I love how you explained what you were ding. Did you go to school for music?

  • truly an awesome display. Thanx for making my day!. I could learn this...not!

  • Thank you for your comment.

  • i love that lick at 134.

  • Really a very good interpretation.

Just wonder if you get the same sound quality with the FP4 speakers as the Youtube stereo solution ?

  • Great!!!

I tought it was not possible to post anything in stereo on youtube... How do you do that?

  • There are some good videos on YT that explain how to post stereo. It basically involves converting to flv before upload. An easier way is to tell people to add &fmt=18 to the end of the url for the video.

  • Thanks for your reply Sir! Ok for the flv format and that &fmt=18 just do the job indeed! Thanks!

Your playing is very sweet man. Continue the good work!

  • i like it :) nice job

  • excellent stuff as always. Not my favorite progresion and the bass sound is a bit weak. However, this is expertly delivered as always. I especially admire the way you do two handed chord voicings, i personally can't think fast enough to know what's my root 3 five and seven when spead over two hands, but you just seem to feel it naturally!

    Brilliant as always. Dave

    p.s are you american? UK?

p.p.s i'd love to hear you do something really simple and modal like milestones or so what.

  • very nice.. that inspires me to go home and practice some of this.. cool!

    we'll be in touch.. :D

  • Nice one, really in the pocket. I dig that triplet thing in groups of 4 and then 3 at about 1.40, very cool.

  • Thanks Dave, always nice to hear from you!

  • Hi Roger, your experiments with your Roland FP-4 are fun to listen, really nice solo, nice slide bass. Now, this stereo sound here on youtube,is for me as the birth of a new generation, really great.

    Thanks also for the annotations!

  • mmmm. tasty! =D

  • You'd be surprised how nice this sounds with vibes playing over the top.... thanks :-)

  • I wouldn't be surprised at all - let's hear it! Glad you liked it - thanks.

  • Very cool. It's interesting to see you "cue" the bridge by reaching up and poking a button.

Thanks for documenting all the hipness in there. ;)

  • Beautiful! The stereo definitely enhances the effect of the style.

  • Thanks Vayshen, I appreciate the comment.

  • incredible as always

  • Thanks, I appreciate the comment and enjoy your playing as well.

  • Thanks for this. What a great idea - a very simple set of changes with lots of repetition, so that we can more clearly see some of the many harmonic/melodic options you choose. It is good to play along with too, as we might notice an idea, and immediately we can test it out as the minor ii/V/I cycles again. And the annotations are excellent and helpful in 'decoding' some of your great ideas.

  • Thanks Doug. As you know it's more work doing the annotations, but it not only helps the viewer but also gives me the opportunity to analyze the musical choices I made at the time and see what works.

  • Soulful and in time: That is quite a feat! This was laid back and almost melancholy. Truly beautiful. The stereo really helps the sound. Great post.

  • Great clip dude!
