where do yall go? i live on dickinson bayou real close 2 the bay and we go fishin in it alot we typically get redfish and drums. last weekend we went at night till 3 and all we caught were hardheads it kinda sucked but was bttr thn nuthin. wat bait do u find best and how is ur rig set up? thx.
@longhorns1695 Thanks for the comment bro. my bait was cracked crab. A small tip that i learned while fishing for drum you can use just the paws...cracked paws and land niceones....
@MrAnaconda18 This was filmed at texas city dike. It is the longest man made dike in the world, but sadly closed after hurricane Ike. Two good fishing piers to look into are Sea Wolf Park on the bay-side in Galveston and the recently re-opened 61st fishing pier "gulf-side". I'm headed the the 61st street pier today for the first time since it has re-opened. Wish me luck!
After IKE the Galveston area and contiguous waters are all banned from eating fish. Please visit the Texas dept of health on fish consumption and latest bans. All fish now contain high levels of cancer causing PCB's and no one should eat any fish or no more than 4 oz in a month of fish that was caught in Galveston bay, the gulf or Galveston's contiguous waters which includes TX City and waters inward.
@albruno09 the PCEntertainment comment is wrong. You can go to Galvnews.com and look at the galveston newspaper's fishing report, and search it to find correct info. Ike did not put cancer causing stuff in fish. PCBs... there is a 4 oz consumption recommended limit on certain bay fish, but only 2 or 3 types. a blanket statement that "galveston area waters are banned from eating fish is false. Our commercial fishers and shrimpers are working and our fish markets are open.
i'm going to miss that pier. Does anyone know when they plan on opening the dike for generator light fishing...or are we going to have to use the leve to fish.
we go fishing by the jettys. caught some nice fish there, the only problem is it can get pretty rough out there lol. havent been out there in a while though, gas is so freaking high...
Man black drum are fun. Down here in florida, ive caught like 18 black drum on frozen shrimp ranging from 2 to about 15 pounds. right off the pier. good stuff.
Is there any new,piers
