  • freakin cool man

  • i hate pandas

  • Excellent video, thanks for posting,I'll do some experimenting with it.Seems to be alot quicker and easier than having to draw out thousands of pictures.

  • I can imagine it being easier to possibly scanning it in, photoshopping the parts to cut them or use flash and cut them within it and then work it like that.

  • OOOOOOOOOOOH! THAT'S HOW OU DO THAT!

  • hi cool is there a way to animate but with out cutting the picture

or wath is the best way to animate

they told me draw the character many times

    cool thanks

  • lots of ways to animate. You can draw the character many times and take a picture of each drawing. Lot of work but comes out fantastic. If you haven't done any animation you should start with something like this knight tutorial though.

  • it needed to be played at a higher fps

  • i think u should have sped it up a little more at th end

  • nice video

  • the end product needs to be sped up

  • I agree

    -LazyyProductions

  • Is Motion Comics, stop Motion animation

  • a really good, user-friendly way of teaching simple animation. well done! the only thing i might add is that you might consider attaching thread to the back of the limbs with tape so the body stays connected. it's a really easy way to keep your character intact while it's moving, and you can still use the tweezer method to get the individual limbs to move. well done, though! :)

  • Excellent! Thanks for the great suggestion. I will do this in the future.

  • shut up jk gdfhh hmm ummm

  • yarg... lithp... ith not workin fer meh...

  • very kewl

  • at 4:00 it looks like you knock over the sword with the tweezers!

At least I think they're tweezers...

    Nice vid tho!

  • im sorry but this is too boring

  • Nice tuto !

The best program for stop motion is Monkey Jam. Easy to use and free ! Try this man !

  • thanks man, I'll have a look at this program!! please check out my tutorial video on stop animation I have on my channel, thanks so much!!!

  • it pretty bugged im trying to paste ion my footage and it wont fully render it even though i show the direct path etc.

  • Yeah, I had the same problem.

But when you make your render, you have to precise the format of your render : instead of "image size", choose 640X290 (I'm not sure for the second number :D), then you record your render. You should have no more bug problem then (it works for me, why not for you :D)

Ps : I'm french, sorry if that's not clear :D

  • Love your tutorials. I am teaching kids at my school about animation, so thank you very much for such simple, yet effective ideas!

  • You are very welcome. Thanks for watching my vids. I have a new stop motion animation tutorial coming. It uses pipe cleaners.

  • You remind me of Jamie from Mythbusters. I have no idea why.

  • I never saw the show - yikes. But my voice seems to remind people of different people.

  • i think his voice is a bit too deep and a bit rough but i can hear were u get Jamie's voice yeah

  • pretty good

  • lol thanks

  • Hey thanx epicfantasy great idea on how to make an animation. Wont do same to copy cuz that aint cool. But good tips and never thought of drawing pieces and cutting them out.

  • I'd also like to see one of your claymations or animations.

  • Hi! Check my playlists, I have ten stop motion animation tutorials. One of them is a short claymation with a lizard. the video id is: CzoZR6sfqsQ

    Thanks!

  • you didn't play the pictures back at a high enough speed.

  • You are right. I need to do at a higher frame rate. Thanks! NExt tutorial will be better.

  • thats ok. Usually, I don't point that stuff out, but this is cutout animation, and there aren't that many tutorials for that out there.

  • cool! my vids are all clay ive never tried paper animation!!! except 1 time with a super man but yeah cool plz check my vids and tell me if there good :)

  • if you do 24 pics per second then thats real time

  • film is subjective. depeneding on the scope of the film you may find 12 fps works or you may go higher. When i shoot combat sequences i like high fps b/c it allows me to have more control regarding speed. I shot test sequences at a few different rates to find what worked. choose a camera and program that suits you best based on your research..pros/cons etc.

i think bottom line is know your project through and through, b/c unlike live action mistakes on this level set you back big time imo

  • corny

  • windows movie maker is the one of them

  • What program is best to use for stop-motion?

  • I am not sure which program is best for stop motion. I think there are programs specially designed for it so those would be best but expensive. I use Adobe Premiere and it works great.

  • I f you want a free one this is what I use "Anasazi SMA"

  • I'd buy Adobe Premiere Elements, or for mac, framethief or istopmotion. If you're better, get stop motion pro.

  • good tutorial but you either didn't use enough frames per second or you didn't take enough pictures. I think it's the first one.

  • u should try 12 images per sec at least, below 7 images per second there's no sense of movement

  • 16 and 18 is good

  • what type of cameras that i think its mine

  • Its a really inexpensive kodak easyshare camera that I use. A CX6230. I don't think they make them any more. Almost any digital camera will work.

  • mines a finepix a340 good for starting skate vids but it doesnt take the pics straight away

  • Brilliant! :) x

  • Thanks :) I just tried to make an animation that was as simple as possible so anyone could try it!

  • not bad...
