  • He's right, back tension is a key point of perfecting your form. And in traditional archery, "form" is the most important thing. Also, anchor point and aim are very important as well. If you can anchor to the same exact spot on your face every time and use back tension to steady the shot allowing alot less stress on your shooting arm, then your aim will be as easy as picking a spot, aiming small and missing small. The smaller you aim the smaller you miss.

  • That's some awesome recurve shooting. Does Rick teach instinctive or gap shooting? I noticed the three fingers under release....what poundage bow are you shooting?
