Just wondering - can you see that there might be benefits to 'whinging'? Another way of describing it is 'being realistic' - not always assuming there is a 'silver lining' can be beneficial. Being sceptical about an 'offer of a lifetime' deal that will only cost you £10,000, loaning money to a friend who promises to pay it back...these kinds of decisions can actually benefit from someone being sceptical, looking to find the negatives. You can do far more damage as a reckless optimist.
