  • Emmylou grows more beautiful with every year that passes.

I have always loved her, and her voice, and the wonderful songs written by her.

  • She must have thought her career was over when Gram died, but she's gone on to become a country music legend. I'm sure Gram would be very proud of her.

  • What a beautiful tribute to Gram!!!

  • She is the Queen of Country, her voice touch my soul..........thanks Emmy!

  • Her tribute to Gram. It always makes me get a little misty eyed. You can hear how much she misses him.

  • ...and I think she shares writing credit with Bill Danoff.

  • Pam Rose and Kennedy! This is better harmony than the album.

  • When I have bought a new stereo, since 1977, I have taken this song to the store to be sure the system has enough power, so that I can enjoy this song to the fullest.

  • Linda E. Cambre--"Have you ever loved a woman so much it hurts? And the answer better be, 'Yes.'" It is and you are the object of affection. :-D

  • What a lovely version of this absolutely beautiful song, listened to it a few times and gets better every time. Emmylou must have loved the great Gram Parsons so much to write such a moving song as a tribute to him. She was devastated after he died but she's never forgotten him or what he did for her. Take my hat off to this wonderful lady!!

  • Oh God. : ... ((

  • This is one of Emmy's best live performances of this song

  • I love Emmy, but she only co-wrote this song with a guy called Bill Danoff, who helped write take me home country roads with john denver and is a fine songwriter in his own right. He too is excellent at Boulder To Birmingham Thanks for the video

  • Just listen to the heartache in this song a real heartachin',heartbreakin'song. Long live the memory of Gram Parsons

  • Is a beautiful song,but let's remember gram too!

  • A fine song, made better with age.

  • Sensational.

  • I think the she does the song better with time. It's even more heartbreaking to me now than the original version.

  • i saw her in chicago a few days ago......she play this and it was wonderful

  • Can't listen to this without a tear in my eye. Such a soulful voice, and such a performance. . . . but it is Emmylou. . . the best

  • some of the best lyrics ever; tear your heart out; Gram was such a talent and such a waste

  • I've never listened to this without crying...the emotion and the beautiful voice, well it gets me every time

  • took my mum to this. she was 81. she died last week. want to play this at her funeral. is there a DVD or any ideas anyone how i can do it?

  • Larest version: DVD + CD by Mark Knopfler & Emmylou Harris.

    "REAL LIVE ROADRUNNING"

Song on both DVD & CD.

  • loved her then love her now

  • Emmylou you have a tear in your voice, but that what makes you the best

  • I heard Emmylou sing this at the Exit-In in 1976 (Nashville). She's as beautiful a voice now as then. Truly a gift from God.

  • Wow!! 32 years after recording it she sings it with more pathos. She does get better with age. Thanks.
