If you are not getting the message at the end of SM from kelly you either haven't charmed her enough, already have a love interest or you are not using the private terminal at the captain's quarters. You can not get that message at the terminal in the CIC, at least i never did.

@commandershadebetter there is a way to let her die. what you do is instead of going to the suicide misson do one more misson (just one misson will do the trick) and then when you find the people in the pods instead of just a colonist getting oozified it will be kelly.pretty grusome death scene.but at least you wont have to deal with her.
