Van Jones is an excellent motivational speaker but thats about it. He sadly lacks an understanding of economics. Giving work to the people who NEED it most? How about giving it to those who WORK the hardest? I am a small business and can't afford to be racist or sexist. What you are suggesting is green charity not green business. Call it what it is. Don't pretend like you understand business.

Based on our interview, Van actually does not advocate "giving" work to those who need it. He strives to create opportunities for motivated folks to gain the education and training necessary to create new companies and earn work positions with existing companies. He really does have some interesting ideas for creating new jobs, supporting small businesses like ours and helping to build a more sustainable economy that what we have now in this country.
