  • this song reminds me of the 4 boys lost in Grande Prairie, Alberta on October 22, 2011. One man decided too make the stupid decision too drink and drive, and hit the car they were in, killing 4 out of 5 teenage boys immediately and leaving 1 in a coma for 11 days. 2 of the boys didn't even get too have a 16 birthday and another had too spend his in the hospital. Their families are still going crazy. R.I.P Tanner 15(now 16), Walter 15, Matthew 16, and Vince 16. I miss you, Keep Fighting Zach. <3

  • @whitespiritbear thank you for the kind message. I will pass it along. Again, thank you.

  • I am in love with this song, it is great and I'm the proud daughter of a member of the Canadian Armed Forces. I love you, Daddy! He went to Afghanistan this past year and he was working outside of the gates, it took him four months to get the courage to tell my mom, sister and I that he was outside of the gates, because he thought we wouldn't be able to handle it. He almost didn't come back.

  • How does anyone win a war win everybody losses somebody they care about. It would be like we won the war your family members are coming home then never to see him or her come off the plane... Yeah you won the war, but you lost a loved one. In a war there is only a fight for power never for victory or survival just power. R.I.P all the soldiers we have lost and will lose.

  • Miss you Unc

  • serving member off HM Royal Navy for 22yrs, thank you top song.

  • when i went to afghanistan i always listened to this song with the boys and we would always say hey somebody might now live today and almost everyday somebody didnt live

i love you brothers and sisters in the armed forces and you know what we are winning this war and i dont think anyone in this world can tell me different i go back in november and i dont plan on coming home but thats fine cause this is my country and ill die for it

  • @mrcanadiansoldier do your job then come home soldier. Good luck out there, and watch your six....

  • as long as theres politics and world hunger, there will always be a war... no war is ever really won, both sides lose alot of people and alot of the time the reason they even started is still there... war is just a product of fear.

  • to thoses families that have lost a family memeber in the war i say thank you for you servies to protect our 2 countries the US and Canada i am a proud to be a Canadian and know that know that i can live in peace i will some day apply for Canadian Army and join those men and women of the Westren forces over there in Afgh and Iarq fight for peace and freedom and hell support those that need help

  • Canada is not over there backing the United States, Canada went over with NATO to fight terrorism.

  • bas776 your completely fucking right tristan7421 if the americans or us canadians werent over there fighting protecting and helping the people over there take control of there contires from the taliban than things would be a hell of a lot worse than they are right know. After i read your comment tristan7421 i was pist off i dont think people like you understand

  • this is in response to tristan 7421 the war in afganistan is not about the oil or the money its the fact that teorrists attacked the twin towers on september 11 2001 which the united states of america took as an act of war and retalliated the canadians only got involved in 2002 because we are backing the states up.

the taliban brought this war upon themselves we did not force them to attack the states they did that all on their own.

  • @bas776 actually it wasnt the taliban that attacked on 9/11. it was al queda. Bottom line, they are both cowards, terrorists, and if they wana die "so they can have 72 virgins" then i say lets help'm out and get them there nice a quick. Then our boyz can come home and those terrorists can burn in hell. God Bless the Canadian, US, Brit, and all the coalition forces fighting for a better future, without fear and terror.

  • cause the men they are killing are terrorists, they take lives of innocent families, and they teach children at very young ages that killing is ok, there are little kids carrying guns around shooting innocent people because they have been taught to do that and that killing is ok .

  • i am not against the war in afganistan but i have a valuable point to make if you kill a man in battle they call it heroism but you kill a man in everyday life its called murder can anyone tell me why this is.

  • @bas776 its as simple as "the rules of everyday life don't apply to war" - which is also why there's a whole set of different laws and rules that govern warfare. ie. the Geneva Convention

  • Tristan they are not in afghanistan bc of oil, they are there to help stabalize the government, and helping to bring peace to their country, these men choose to fight to make a difference, even if it means losing their life. These men need our support. I know this bc my fiance is over there right now fighting for that reason. He said it has nothing to do with oil.

  • There shouldn't even be troops from Canada, USA, or any other of the Countries that are over there. They aren't there because they are terrorists, its all about money, they are over there trying to control the amount of oil that is produced because the world's supply is coming to an end and they want to preserve it for as long as they can. Its not right, people are dying, innocent people, over there everyday. ITS NOT RIGHT!!

  • @Tristan7421 these people out there never begin the war young people die becouse old politicans said so

there is a great sentence one of our national heros said(germany)

if someone seen a man dying in the killing fields he would think twice before start a war

    (sorry for my bad english)

  • Why on earth would you bring imported materialistic items from china into the relevant picture of soldiers sacrafising their lives for your freedom? Especially your reference to US items, considering Aaron Lines is Canadian and writes his songs accordingly. Get your IQ checked john1ooooo.

  • why ant all the amn countries just get alone and help each other and china owns the US eveything we use comes from over seas and thats a fact

  • Remember on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month bow your heads for 2 minuates for the fallen soilders.

  • @GODLOVESYOUALL365 Remember every day, because every day somebody is putting their life on the line for you.

  • @GODLOVESYOUALL365 Minutes* solidiers*

  • @GODLOVESYOUALL365 Remember every hour of every day. Such great sacrifice cannot be contained in a single day. I remember how precious every minute is, now that two of my friend's cannot share them with me..

  • @GODLOVESYOUALL365

    That's when Dutch carnival starts.

  • I like this song. It's not only beautiful but has a good message. We never talk about the loss of life enough when considering war, if we did there would be way less of it. But it always blows my mind that people can be so compassionate about an american or canadian soldier loosing their life but not about the huge number of civilians that die in our combat zones. the number of civilians dead out number fighters by at least 2:1. And we wonder why the people of Iraq and Afghanistan don't trust us

  • How can a war realy be won, when there is so many losses?

  • i have been asking that same question ever since i first learned what war was. In my entire life, no one has been able to give me a decent answer. The bibe says thou shall not kill. The law says not to commit murder. What makes killing someone in a war different from killing someone in your home country?

  • I'm pretty sure that the bible says thou shall not murder. There is a big difference between murdering some one and then killing someone.

  • no not really. sombody still dies. either way, its wrong

  • so if some one breaks into your house with your family there and you end up killing them , its the same as murder.

I personally think there is a very big difference and thats why the bible says not murder instead of not kill.

  • war is wrong! the end!

  • @GODLOVESYOUALL365 How can you look for a clear win in something that never truely ends? "Only the dead have seen the end of war." well the death of a soldier is tragic for their family, and their country... Soldiers understand than despite the risks, some things are worth fighting for. With freedom comes sacrafice. Just be thankfull you're not the one who had to make that sacrafice, and never forget them.

  • @GODLOVESYOUALL365 The wife of Wo Brown who was killed in afghanistan, Michelle Brown, says it the best way. "We may not be able to defeat the taliban, you know what theres a lot of things in our life we can't beat. You can't beat obesity, can't beat child pornography, can't beat crime. But do you give up? Do you stop? Absolutly not" Soldiers believe in what they fight for. It doesnt seam like you are agaist troops in anyway. So keep supporting those who fight so that you don't have to.

  • @GODLOVESYOUALL365 each time, x or y goverment wins. humanity always lose.

  • go fuck yourself

  • the men in the background looks like elvis

  • seen him in concert !!!!!!!

    very good singer

  • *Hey do you know me*

  • the one holding the unbreall with the 2 little girls was my uncel who died in the war

  • I'm sorry

  • im so sry i no how it feels beleive me...

  • its ok,ya war is pretty pointless like why can thay just get a long

  • Why don't they write and sing songs about our fellow female soldiers?

We give support and love to all male soldiers through songs but where are the ones about our women?

  • Because the vast VAST amount of actual combat soldiers are male, and the vast majorities of our casulties are male. There are exceptions but its like making a video celebrating male nurses, not terribly accurate or realistic when the vast majority of nurses are females and the vast majority of soldiers are male.

  • becuase fighting wars has been a mans job ever since man has grown to hate his fellow man. the majority of soldiers are men

  • hey i lost me bro he was right beside me you have no clue how hard it is to keep fighting man i miss him i always thought what i would do if something happend and i could never see it happening and now it has it has left me speech less god i miss him lets keep fighting and get this done with

  • i gotta admit this song is good but it SO FRICKIN SAD:(

R.I.P too all the people that have lost someone in the war

  • i wonder why people don't like country music when they can be so true, sad and beautiful

  • OMG i totally agree i hate it wen my friends say country music is stupid but mostly all of it is true

  • Country music is the best.. it doesn't need to be about sex or drugs (ie// 90% of rap) to be good. I love country music, because almost all of the songs have a story behind it, its not some stupid beat with the same words repeated over and over again. It means something, thats what i like about it. Great son btw, my friend is shipping off on monday to Iraq. This song makes me a little sad that he's going, i hope he'll be ok.

  • oh my gosh i really hope he will be ok:O my prayers are with him:)

  • MARINES 2011.

Thank you for this song. I'm scared out of my mind to even think of enlisting and it doesn't help that noone thinks i will. You have no idea how much this helps.

Thank you soldiers past, present, and future.

  • i miss you ian!

  • Aaron lines is sooo hot !

  • who cares?! It is the song that matters with the fact that he is good looking does not help the people who have lost a family member, it is the song he is singing now that let's them know someone cares.

  • wow, i've never heard this song before, very true and moving. My husband is currently deployed in Afghanistan and it's very true how many civilians go about there days not giving a second thought to the men and women serving over there and giving there lives. Thank you for this song Aaron, it's beautiful! God bless all our fallen soldiers, gone but never forgotten

  • i like to listen to this and think about how i got my fiancee back and how easily he could have become another life lost and more than one family torn by it :( ty for making it even more special

  • great song. hey tjvgriffy i just had a couple of friends come back from afgan. a few weeks ago and they are just wanting to go back. I told them that they must have balls to go back. they said "its not about having courage to go back, its about being with your buddies and making sure that they come home." you also have no reason to be ashamed man for not going. just show your support to our boys out there and never forget.

  • Hey, I know what you mean. I'm in almost the same sitation, except that i'm going with my friend. Some people feel they are meant to do that kind of job/career. BTW, where are you from?

  • lol hey tjv. this isnt who i think it is is it?

  • hey dont worry about being ashamed, i also was going to join up with the forces but i am not mentally prepared to take on the responsibility, so dont worry about it just support your friend and stand behind him and give him support and you will be helping him out a lot, plus if you can always work out to get the strength needed then you can go and joina nd help out your friend, ok buddy?

  • So true that's why I am trying to join, but it is so hard on mother when she knows what it is like to lose a son. She doesn't oppose it, but she is really good at hiding her fear.

And out there, people are being killed. & I imagine what it would be like. How would I feel if my father, my brother, hell a part of my family was killed.
