  • Damn, I've heard of Awakenings (with Robin) and been a fan of Oliver's for a few years but never put two and two together. Must track down the film now.

  • ROBIN = LEGEND

  • Look at the audience at 4:16 there is this odd lip touching moment going on

  • "And that was kind of a huge opening." thats what he said! lol

  • Wow, it's amazing how people have similar reactions when they are uncomfortable with something. My guess is at 4:14 those people don't agree with Einstein's take on God.

  • 0'54 "we would improvise like crazy" no shit lol

  • 4:14 everyone touch your face!

  • Robin Williams, may u live forever!! u have skills to make theire day happy when theire day isnt excactly a good one, thank you for excisting!!

  • Robin Williams is a great man and a great dad

  • @WarriorMigs24

Funny to watch someone else writing that a well, I was talking with my girlfriend about this last week, after watching a movie with Robin, and I said that if I could pick another father it would have been him! He seems so kind!

  • at 2:37 he jumped a little bit at the crowds reaction, it made me giggle.

  • I conseder him the best in comedy

  • Yes he is the best ever Robin Williams

  • just the way he is doing impro... fantastic! and his films are great and worth watching.

  • what did he say about einsteins view of god? my sense of god not a ..... but a profound sense of wonder?

  • @TheJuliusJT my sense of god is not as a diety, but as profound sense of wonder.

  • Amazing... A comedy legend!!!

  • I love dead poets society and I love awakenings. brilliant.

  • Well, now that I'm getting into a possible career in radio, I may have to check out Good Morning Vietnam.

  • One of my favorite movies ever is Good Morning Vietnam

  • he is one of the two deaths i am dreading

  • @jackdog20 what's the second? for me, It's Paul Mcartny.

  • @jackdog20 is the second one your own ;p

  • @jackdog20 whos the other?

  • Awakenings was the movie that made me recognize that Williams was a very good actor, not just a performer.

  • 4:15 eeee... ok why? they touch their faces almost at the same time?

  • he is a genius

  • What's wrong with these people at 4:15 ? They all licked their fingers at the same time?

  • @TonyMark25 LOL I never noticed that, maybe they were nervous that the camera was aiminig at them....

  • Yeah and isn't the girl next to the blonde one Amy Walker? She's an incredibly talented actress and a YouTuber. I think her YT acc is yadayada/amiablewalker or something. I watched her 21 accents video.

  • Holy cripes, they do! It's as if they saw themselves peripherally in a monitor when the camera cut to them, and in some self-conscious act of nervous mimicry, imitated the guy in front.

  • hahaha wow that was weird!!

  • @TonyMark25 OMG you are right...lol

  • My favourite performances are (in no particular order) Good Moring Vietnam, Awakenings, Aladdin, Toys, Fisher King, Dead Poets Society plus ANY of his stand ups - Live '82 from San Fancisco, Live at the Met, Live on Broadway -- and his comeback special - live in Washington -Weapons of Self Destruction. His serious roles always have that warm touch of humanity in them..

  • Am I the only one that can tell that the man needs to pee?

  • GIVE HIM SOME WATER JESUS!!!

  • Robin does great in all his films. Hes a pure genius :D.

  • @Hunteress90 Flubber?

  • whats up with the people touching their lips at 4:16?

  • lol that is so weird

  • Robin has had so many great performances but my favorites from him is Good Morning Vietnam and Insomina

  • Awakenings is absolutely one of my favorite William movies. I cried like a child and it touched my life in so many ways....it was amazing.

  • Wow, I read one of Olver Sacks's books a long time ago - I had know idea about this side of him. I didn't know that the movie Awakenings and the Oliver Sacks book "Awakenings" was one and the same. Interesting.

  • That's so true. History is a VERY dark comedy. If you think about it.

  • Isn't that called a drama? Lol

  • lol touche'

  • He is so damn good in Good Will Hunting.

  • robin williams is a bit like me in a way ...... we both have to drink a lot of water to keep hydrated

  • Aladdin's his best at animated films. For actual live-action movies, I have to go with Toys or Fisher King for his best performance. Best comedic performance from Robin????......too damn many to count.....

  • he wants more water ..

  • The genie was his best, too funny and awesome to explain!

  • @Nephphantom

    I agree with you!

    Genie ROCKS!

  • Dead Poets Society has and always will be my favourite performance from Williams. Slightly biased because it's one of my favourite movies, but still. Just ... wonderful.

  • Aladdin is by far his best performance.

  • 4:17

    hahaha thats an interessting coincidence

  • my favortie movie of his would be What Dreams May Come.... so good.

  • Same, probably one of the most beautiful movies I've ever had the pleasure to see.

  • his top movies for me DPS, GMV, and aladdin, yes aladdin

  • Forrest Whitaker was great in that movie too

  • this whole interview is fantastic. so entertaining and interesting.

  • @chillipeanuts The greatest :D

  • Robin Williams is the best thing to ever happen to comedy

  • Robin Williams is the pinnacle of spontaneity.....improvisation is breath and the world is a stage

  • lol did anyone else notice that 3 people touched their mouths with their right hands in perfect synchronization? 4:15

  • Ha,ha....maybe it's a sign????.....twilight theme plays.....lol

  • hahaha, I thought your comment was funny:-D

  • LOL!

  • Oh thank god... it wasn't just me that noticed that. LOL

  • You thought you were loosing it didn't you????....lol

  • LOL Kinda... like "they didn't all touch their mouths at the same time, did they?!"

  • Idk...it's freaking me out too....kinda like! did they all know each other and it was planed out...or That happened for a reason....? lol

  • weird..

    what about the blonde one?

    jajaj funny..

  • If Robin was born nowadays they would have him on prozack or zoloff, and it would ruin him

  • they did put him on those drugs...

  • Oh I see. Well I'm glad you think he's talented. Jakob the Liar!! Forgot about that one. That was a good movie. I've only seen snippets of "The Birdcage" but what I saw looked great. I still haven't seen "Moscow on the Hudson" or "The Fisher King" but I would like to. I recently saw "What Dreams May Come" and found it to be an interesting premise but the storyline seemed a bit discombobulated. Did anybody else think so?

  • You've got to see "Moscow on the Hudson". Robin learned Russian AND how to play the saxophone for the role. Either one of those is a tremendous accomplishment. Very impressive indeed.

I agree with your comment on "What Dreams May Come". It was mediocre and predictable. But it did have some cool special effects.

  • Wow, then I definitely have to rent that. Thanks.

  • If you wanna see Robin doing some real acting, check out "Insomnia" and "One Hour Photo"...also "Death to Smoochy" was funny as hell

  • Don't remember insomnia, have to check that one out. I can borrow One Hour Photo from a friend of mine, I'll have to see it.

  • Insomnia was an amazing movie.....The thing about him is that He's not just comedian but a very serious actor and Extremely creepy in his roles! What an amazing person overall!!!!

  • And One Hour Photo. ( i think its called). He was so creepy in that. Very talented and wonderful man!

  • Oh I totally agree.....see people can never just say he's a comedian....he's a very serious actor overall!!!! and anyone who says different is a dumbass!!!! Insomnia was by-far one of my favorite movies from him...I need to watch it again as a matter fact!

  • I love your uncompromising attitude; dumbass; lol! I quite agree. And Dead Poets Society. Even Dustin Hoffman who audtioned for that movie said Robin did a better job in it he ever could. He got the balance just right. Im gonna have to check out Insomnia preferably when I should be sleeping for that insomoniac feeling. (oh gosh look at me trying to be funny like Robin, bad!)

  • Lol...Wait you've never seen Insomnia before?

  • No. I know, i know...

  • You make me sick!!!!...lol Yeah it has Al pacino,Hilary Swank....its an amazing movie! go get it now! or I'll find you and smack you...lol

Let me know what you think of it?!

  • LMAO!! I WILL find it. Im so bad, i love al pacino, swank and of course williams and ive been saying ooh insomonia must watch that ..of course ive been saying that for 5 years now.

  • That eidetic imagery part where he fantasises about using their house and their facilities is quite scary, albeit sad.

Although the scariest bit is that dream sequence where he's in the shopping aisle alone, and...yeah his eyes. O_o

  • Oh gosh yeah. You know what it took me a minute to realise you were talking about one hour photo..lol. Yeah its all coming back to me, i watched that movie more than a year ago. I also just loved his delivery, especially where he says .."and if you dont mind, a beautiful home" Ooh creep, creep, creepy!

  • "Jacob the Liar" was pretty damn good too.

  • I would disagree, Dead Poet's Society was very well done, as was Patch Adams. And many of his other films. I respect him as an actor and as a human being because it is obvious that he is an intelligent, knowledgeable person who tries to seep up all of the information that he can in life, and it shows in his work.

  • Cseeger, why do you think those movies sucked? I would like to hear your opinion.

  • I take it back. I took a look at his filmography and now will state that he was also brilliant in "Moscow on the Hudson", "The Fisher King", and "The Birdcage". But the rest of his movies pretty much sucked. I'm not saying he's untalented, I'm just saying most of the movies he's been in suck. He also sucked in "Mork and Mindy".

  • The boy at Robin's right on 3:30 looks like Josh Hartnett... LOL...

  • Carpe Diem.

  • LOL that was so hysterical at 4:16!!! some kind of synchronized reflexes...

  • LOL! How did you even notice that!

  • From the right top side in the first girl in the back is already touching her lips before anyone else evn touches the mouth, defanitly an odd catch by the camera man

  • he's beyond marvelous!

  • wtf is going on at 4:16, 3 people touch their mouths. the one chick puts 2 fingers in her mouth.

  • that was funny! great observation.

  • Haha yeah good eye looks like the girl with the dark hair has something in her mouth and or is messing with her lips the blond girl is like scraping her teeth and the dude touching his nose or something.

  • Here's something weird I noticed!

at 5:37, the camera does a shot of some people in the audience. Three of them suddenly touch their mouths at the same time..

bizarre! haha just a useless observation.

  • Sorry LOL its actualy at 4:15

5:37 is the lenght of the video, my bad!

  • oh my god... it's like one after the other too

  • How many people can say they enjoy what they do for a living? He does enjoy it and it shows. Never loose that Robin

  • Dead Poets Society, one of my all-time favourite movies. He was a master in that one.

  • GMV + DPS are two of my favorites x3

  • Meh nothing wrong with having an opinion but however your words are laced with a little too much venom razor.

Good Morning Vietnam is an example of how he can make you tear up with both laughter and harsh reality. Not so much an opinion as it is a fact.

Mr Williams here is certainly not overrated. Repeats the same jokes? No. I think you're confused with the "same style" that he'll deploy his acts with. Improv. is pretty much him all over.

His humour is as modern as the rest of the best stand-ups

  • Amen to that. I cant get enough of this man[and i dont mean in a sexual way]I laugh with every look and word he comes up with, and the versatility that he shows to do movies like GoodMorning Vietnam and Mrs Doubtfire is amazing. Im not saying anything new here but HE IS REALLY ONE OF A KIND....Robin, You are the second man I love, the first one is my dad.

  • PLEASE!

  • What ever you are smoking, you might think about giving it up. Robin is one of the very best to ever grace the stage. He is the guy who so many people in the industry look up to. There isn't anyone else who can go from topic to topic, and be funny and consistent like him. As for his dramatic roles...they were some of the best in their time, if not all time. Good Morning Vietnam is still of the best movies ever.

  • your just jealous that u arent as funny as robin

u put him down to make yourself feel better

    so go suck a dick

robin is, and always will be, better than you

  • No... Larry the Cable Guy is an act

Robin Williams is 100% genuine genius

  • i love him in awakenings

  • "Wrestling is an interesting sport. Especialy when their yelling Crotch Ride infront of you mother"

XD my god i love it

  • i love him.. so eccentric and just an amazing human being.. there is NO one like him.. he's truly one of a kind!

  • hahaha!
