  • Uh EXCUSE me. One of those "Transformers" is actually a Gundam Wing character. The one all the way on the left that's white and has the shield with a cross on it. Dorks like myself appreciate when these things are sorted out. *Hmph*.

    =]

  • Great Idea.... although I would say that if you were to just fold the strip in half, stitch along the side and end, then turn it inside out and iron, ts a perfect seemless strip :) but thanks for the post!

  • The table they showed at the end. DIY the top and hang it on the wall as art untill needed :-)

  • love the cornrolls

  • i would like to know how you made that plushie @ 2:30 (the big one with it's tounge out

  • Yeah, that's the bomb!

  • " Oh, It's In France!" lmao, I love that! !!! !

  • the hippie headband look looks good on u

  • You can cut bias strips, and press the edges in, the sewing isn't necessary. Braided rugs are made in this way.

  • - I love Blankets <3

  • Ooh, I'd like to know how to make that cute yellow octo @ 2:23. Adorable! :D

  • Nice work guys

  • heyyyy! THREADBANGERS, see that stuffy at 2:29? i wanna know how to make one of those! specifically the tongue part, the way it sticks out. it'd be a quick project, you culd do like a one-minute-or-less segment on it since it's fairly simple.

  • LMAO "Oh its in France"

  • HOLY CRAP. You got cornrows.

    Awesome!

  • haha. i have 3 headbands like the braided ones i found in a box with a bunch of scruncies. its from when i was little. and i like them. :]

  • For anyone who is interested, Joseph the Artist is no longer homeless but is a part of an assisted living program. He still making his wonderful which is his only source of income but he is doing very well with Common Ground, a non-profit for low cost housing for those in need. His myspace page was created and is maintained by one of Joseph's long time friends.

  • Oh that makes sense i was thinking how can a homeless guy have a myspace page?!?!?

  • some coffee shops have computers and give you free internet service. lol

  • He's the most popular homeless guy.

    lol

  • @ThreadBanger YAAAAAAAY!

  • I loved Dave and Kate's house. (Those were their names right?)

  • 2:29

    Aww man.

    That is wicked.

    lol

You guys should do a diy.

    please :D

  • I LOVE this braiding episode!

  • omg im so making a braided headband (:

  • how does a homeless man get a myspace?

  • Homeless can mean that you live in a trailer in somebody's backyard. Hook an extension cord to their house and slip them a $20. every month or week and you're good to go. Homeless does not always mean totally completely dead broke. It's a way to slow down and save some money. Computers work in trailers. "ClearWire" brings wireless internet or you can use library computers any day even public buildings, colleges and coffee shops etc have computers for public use.

  • FREAKIN SWEET!!!

  • Great vid.

Help! Our world is in great danger. Please watch NASA urgent warnings and help out immediately. I'm not kidding.

    youtube. com/watch?v=zxPadmGKcfQ

  • Actually someone set it up for him because he actually IS homeless. He lives on the streets, but his art has caught the eye of a nice person who did it for him.

  • I'm not to fond of that look...

  • love that monster of a pillow with tongue sticking out. gonna make myself one soon:)

  • yess!

  • Isn't he cool? I love that guy. His tongue zips up into his mouth. Gracie liked him.

  • being able to subscribe to threadbanger is the only reason i created a youtube account. this stuff is so fun, thank you!

  • Awesome. Awesome stuff!

  • Those were Gundams, not Transformers.

    ;)

  • Actually, Gundams AND a Transformer. :)

  • I love Blankets! Its a fantastic comic!

  • Me too, I LOVE Craig Thompson. He is an incredible writer & illustrator.

  • That book is amazing. I read it in one day, just couldn't put it down. I have never thought I'd be into graphic novels, but Craig Thompson totally opened my mind to them.

    xo, Meg

  • I read Blankets too and loved it. It's so under-the radar. DIY has great taste.

  • something that i tried once was denim strips slightly frayed so that when you braid the strips you get a distressed look. And speaking of distressed looks meg I caught the one you shot the camera a 0:11. Welcome to my entire child hood. It gets easier and you look totally cute.

  • i love ittt

  • Cornrows and headbands, I love it.

  • the phone thing was GENIUS.

  • It IS genius. I just love it.

  • Glad so many people are enjoying the neon sign -- I'm using a device called a telephone flasher that's intended to help the hearing impaired. You simply connect the phone line to it, plug it into a power socket, and plug anything at all into the socket on the device, whenever it detects the phone ringing, it supplies power! The possibilities are endless! You can get a phone flasher at most radio shacks (as Fone Flasher) or a lot of electronics stores.

  • Why does the homeless man have a myspace?Anyways love that brown square plushie.

  • library computers are free to use. good on him for doing something different.

  • chock-full of brilliant ideas. 5 stars!

  • the homeless man's art work is radical i would buy it and give him extra cash too. but i don't live in new york.......:(

  • Joseph has friends who did his myspace page -- you can contact them through the page and have them pick up a Joseph original for you and ship it -- only $25!

  • oh but i loved the guys brooklyn flat...very nice :)

  • ummm...well I guess some people may not know how to plat (because it's true it's not braiding it's plating) but I think this was a little bit ummm...how do I put it nicely...i can't...it was kind of lame...sorry!

  • thats plating braiding uses more than 3 strips.

  • omg decor it yourself with special guest alicia keys?!

  • *looool* hilarious

"dude where's my car!" "look at the map!"

  • I WANT A DIMMER! Normal light is always too bright for me, but the darkness is well.. too dark.

  • Those braided headbands are bangin!

  • I like the map/index idea.

  • Here's how a deaf or hearing-impaired person might currently make a phone call. Using a TTY or a TDD (telecommunications device for the deaf), the customer types her order on the special keypad and transmits the message to an operator, who relays it by speaking to the person on the other line. This process is called traditional relay.

  • i dotn think that neon sign is very environmentally friendly with all the extre energy it consumes when the phone rings :((

  • How often do you think it really rings? I think it's all good. It's what deaf people use for a phone alert.

  • Deaf people use phones?

  • Great tips this week, the home decor tips and affixing braids onto furniture was a inspiring! And, it would be nice to say, hey, open France and get my calculator ...

  • "Where the #*!@ is my car" map.......that is awesome.

I know where my car is parked but I think I'll use that idea for something else.... :)

  • lol @ "oh it's in france". i like that idea...

  • i love the european countries idea for the filing cabinets. i am so gonna do that...

  • Awesome!

  • My friend Christina is adorable when she braids because she likes to give the pieces of fabric/string/hair etc high-pitched little voices and screams "NO I WANNA BE IN THE MIDDLE! NO I WANNA BE IN THE MIDDLE!" as she braids :) haha
