You'd be wrong on that. A lot of things people liked about the leaked files (Like the Cremator, the Hydra, etc) were already cut or had been planned to be cut by the time the leak had occurred in 2003. The leak itself did not change Half-Life 2 in any way.

@CooperCommunity its the OICW its not on the game or the episodes but its still on the beta as seen (although the scope is bugged but strangely works when textures or model are viewed)

it also appears on some mods like obsidian conflict and can be uploaded to garry mod

this gun was also gonna be the real AR2 (or maybe the AR1) till it was cut and the AR2 was introduced to the retail using the incendiary rifle model (as seen here) even the model of the AR2 retains its name when it was on the beta

@pr0surf3r The Hydra was cut from the game because it wasn't fun to fight it. You'd only have a second to react before you were dead by it's hand(or should I say, tentacle), and it was hard to hit. Plus, at the time, the AI was a bit too complicated to be optimized and functional at the same time. (You gotta remember this all was made in like 2001-2002.)
