I know you don't know me, but I just wanted to say I'm sorry your westie died. Dogs are an amazing part of our lives and losing one often feels like losing an essential part of yourself. I know that it takes a while to accept the lose of a companion, but it often helps to remember what a wonderful life you gave them and what they taught you, whether that be patience, responsibility or really just how to make another living thing happy.

I hope you can feel better soon and I wish you the best.

She was only like 4 monthes... she was a good dog, she lived a good life, and she was very content when she died, i wasnt even there, but i feel like i can see the fear in her eyes... but she was in her favorite place... i feel bad for my grandfather who was right there... thanks, though :\

People... I usually don't ask, but please thumb up my comment so no more people ask me in a panic if Willie is dead. He is not. Last I heard, he was great and John would probably let us all know if something happened.

@mixtapebang what you said was so sweet & heartfelt. It's always nice to encounter another animal lover who understands the bond we make with our pets is a deep love. I hugged an old coworker when I found out her dog "Socks" died. Losing a loving and faithful dog is so hard. I've had a dog for 2 years, she loves me & is so affectionate. I know I'll cry like a baby when she's gone, Chloe is an awesome girl.

Nah he's a West Highland Terrier. I have 2 of them. Maltese are similar but they have curlier, softer fur and flat ears. Westies have the pointed ears.
