My grandpa takes me shooting too and he keeps telling me that he isnt that great but he pointed a fly out to me on a wall in an old shed and he told me he could hit that from where we were standing with his 22 magnum and quick draw and sure enough we were about 100 yards away and I ran up to see the hole in the wall and around the hole the legs of the fly were still clinging on, I tolsd him I've never seen that in my life and I said I f I told anyone they wouldnt believe me and he just laughed..
Let's be fair, technically, you missed! Not 100%. 95% yes. :) But good start and I'm sure you will only improve. No disrespect intended, but just encouraging higher standards! That's the name of the game anyway, right?
@9b8 I totally agree with you about always trying to improve, i know there are shots alot harder than this that can be made, and i hope to achieve one day, and i thank you for the encouragement! But, as far as technically,, a hit is a hit, so i cant see how i technically missed,, but, i do admit i could have made a more direct hit. I really do appreciate your feedback! Thats what the comment section is all about! Do you do any shooting?
@m1shadow I used to do some shooting, as a youngster. Just purely for sick fun, though. I used to head shoot squirrels for fun, and to keep them out of our bird feeders! Am I a good shot? Uhhhh, I'm not a sharp shooter. Without much practice but with a good scope, sure, anything within 50 yards isn't a problem. I would love to go long range shooting! But got to be in the right place and have the right friends to make it any fun. I'm more of a gear-head, myself.
@9b8 Yea, i would like to go long distance too, i figure i will work my way to 500 yards, then eventually 1000, that is very tricky as wind, temperature, barometric pressure, etc, all come in play, but when i get to that stage, i will be happy and feel accomplished that i did it,, but then, i will have to set new goals, 1500 yards, then 1 mile, so on, anything to keep trying to get better
pretty nice, 20 feet isnt that easy to do. i have a video up of me shooting rocks with an ak at approx 50 feet. but thats like comparing apples to oranges.
