When was this recorded? My view of England totally changed after seeing "In The Name Of The Father". Anyone know what the Guilford Four/McGuire Seven are doing now?
@spd47 hill was not a murderer, that gun was planted on him so that the english government wouldnt have to take the blame for all of them. you'd wanna get your facts straight before you start calling people murderers!!
@spd47 hill was not a murderer. that gun was planted on him so that england could say that they werent wrong about them all, at least they had one bad guy in prison and that was blame for one person that they didnt have to face. just seeing how long it took them to apologize will tell you that.
Remember today there are still many innocent people in prison who are terror suspects. Hopefully the day will come soon when all innocent inmates at Guantanamo Bay (and everywhere else too) will regain their freedom!
@des1712 dont ever be sick about where your from, you didnt put these people in jail the goverment of england did and when the people who set the bombs of put their hands up they didnt belive them so its not your fault.
guilford 4 was jailed all that time because of police telling lies in court wy did they not do jail for letting people do 16years in prison for some thing they never did. giuseppe conlon died in that prison no justice jail the lie an bastars.
one more time, shame on england, shame on the fu*** queen The guilford 4 is one of the most scandalous trial in history ! The fu*** batards police officers have never been arrested....
guilford 4 have been released because they were falsely imprisoned, over 20 years ago you uneducated dickhead, dont listen to our songs and history you know nothing about or too stupid to comprehend
What happened the Guilford 4 has happened in every country in the world including Ireland. They were released and financially comphensated. Unlike all the irish men and women tried in IRA kangaroo courts and murdered and their bodies hidden forever.
I lived through the pub bombings, what pissed me off was the fact that the IRA bombed pubs in Manchester that were frequented by Man Utd fans. All were Catholic.
The Peveril of the Peak is still open, and always will be.And its still a Catholic pub.
the ira are republican, nationalists not inclusive catholic, read the history books mate, the english crown played the religion card not us.manchester was a legit target while the brits are ocuping eire
the thing alot of people dont take into account is that the troubles in Ireland was not a religous conflict. it doesnt matter that people were catholic that the IRA killed, as much as i didnt like the killing of innocent bystanders, i still support the IRA's cause. the only legitimate targets i view are royalty, members of parliament, government figureheads, soldiers, police enforcing british law in Ireland and anyone who tries to halt the republican movement. however u still put in a good point
the police are to blame they knew they had the wrong people and continued to arrest more innocent people including the mcguire 7 including gusieppe.pressure or not u dont put innocent 14tr olds to jail as in patrick mcguire or his 17yr old brother vincent just cause there under pressure.them police will get there just rewards some day
What was worse, the IRA killing all those innocent people in a pub, or the Brits fitting people up for it? If the IRA hadn't committed that evil act there wouldn't be a need to fit anyone up. They were under huge pressure to jail people for it. People are warped if they think fitting 4 people up for something they didn't do is worse than killing 5 people and injuring dozens! Also, how the IRA could just watch 4 men go to jail, knowing they were innocent, for something the IRA did, is beyond me!
This has happened in every country in the world including Ireland. They were released and financially comphensated. Unlike all the irish men and women tried in IRA kangaroo courts and murdered and their bodies hidden forever.
wat r u taking about u idiot?do u really think money can make up for lost time and probably the mental problems that would have faced?? ur no true irishman, people like u annoy me
Remember today there are still many innocent people in prison who are terror suspects. Hopefully the day will come soon when all innocent inmates at Guantanamo Bay (and everywhere else too) will regain their freedom!
Justice Served in 1989 with the release of wrongly imprisoned ... british imperiailism must end .. imperialism is not gone from Ireland until all 32 counties are one Republic ..
they have a genetic disorder thats what makes em imperialistic brits, and thn they have a brain disorder to go along with it, and leading experts agree that thats what makes them proud to be huns
Bazza1983 what are you talkin' about? The Guildford Four were proven innocent which is the oppossite of how the British 'justice' system is suppossed to work. 'Innocent untill proven guilty' not 'Guilty untill proven innocent!'
How history has borne this out that British Justice is a joke at times. The Guildford 4 were set free and I wonder how many more were jailed just by association or on either faked or filmsy evidence. How grand this week March 25,2007 Ian Paisley and Gerry Adams sat down perhaps by the 100 anniversary of 1916 Ireland will be "A Nation once again! God Bless Ireland!

The IRA did admit to the bombing, and the people who did it were arrested but never charged, despite confessing.
BUT it's hard to blame just the police when they were under so much public pressure to find and punish those responsible for the bombing.

Actually the Brits weren't the only murderers. The IRA and the loyalist paramilitaries had plenty of innocent peoples' blood on their hands.
The Guildford 4, however, were totally innocent.

The above video relates directly to the Guildford 4, to which i was referring.
I didn't realise we were generalising. That would be a whole new avenue.
