@mackeymax1 Thanks for your comments on Escape from New York. It's gratifying to see so many people that appreciate the great work of John Carpenter and Kurt Russell.
@schultz1963 : Jealous, great place to see this movie. I miss drive- ins they are going extinct. I remember seeing Natural Born Killers and The Doors double feature at the drive In, trippin on shrooms!
@SolidMike84 Amen brother, a remake of a classic like Escape from New York is just stupid. It would be nice to see Kurt do another movie and maybe hire some writers to actually make a decent story instead of that junk they called L.A.
@Soberhamster11001100 I'm glad that J.C.'s music affects you that way. He's a talented director and musician. Couple that with Kurt Russell, how could you go wrong? Thanks so much for your comment
I have been humming & singing this to myself ever since I saw this movie 2 or 3 months ago, it's been driving my college friends mad XD Oh well, I guess I can't help it if John Carpenter's a good musician.
@alucardv2 How could you leave out Tango and Cash? Thanks for leaving a comment and good choices on your fav Kurt Russell films. Other good movies were Used Cars, Overboard, Tombstone, Stargate, Soldier
@AyeOkNowFuckOff Thank you for comment. I know you know, but light sabers were in a different movie. Unfortunately for the artist, the translation of a discharging firearm leaves something for the imagination
@TheAltair4 I couldn't agree with you more. Kurt had rugged good looks and gave his character a larger than life feel. It would be much better to do a third movie as to attempt a remake. I just hope that someone takes more effort to write a story than the sh*t they termed as Escape from L.A.
@lenardodivinci : Agreed what the hell were they thinking on that crap movie, I was so damn stoked when I heard about that coming out, rushed to the theatre to see it and.... well, it was like getting a bad handjob with a condom on.
@Demonsaint71 I can't really imagine anyone else quite cool or badass enough to play Snake Plissken other than Kurt Russell myself and i would much rather see a third movie instead of a remake.
@SolidMike84 : Yes, Snake in the world he sent back to the dark ages in LA. I want to know what happened in Cleveland, when the bad dude mentions it in LA.
@doctalee The synth is awesome, and the whole track makes me feel charged enough to go out and tackle the world. Sort of like seeing Star Wars IV for the first time at the theaters
@cy2087 Thanks so much for your support. Of all of Kurt's movies I liked this one the best and John is a great director and musician. I'm glad you stopped by and left a message. Cheers to another fan of John Carpenter.
This was also one of my favorites. The C-Police are a pain indeed but thanks for doing what you could. Good God this man (Carpenter) has done some of the most incredible music for his movies. Anyone who doubts this has merely to think of the day called Halloween and wonder where THEY got the idea of the music that starts running thru their heads came from. The musical pieces can actually stand on their own IMO.

it goes to show you dont need a massive orchestra to create an epic theme. Great score, great film.

I'm so sick of remakes, I'd like it to be a third one with a aged Plissken, Kurt Russell all the way
A final "Escape from" movie
