Ok so Joan never won an oscar but then neither has Sigourney Weaver or Glenn Close. She has won the coveted Golden Globe for Best Actor which is the highest accolade you can get in TV plus dozens of other awards, just google her to see what she has achieved. Oh and plus an OBE!..Ok so she is not a Meryl Streep but to say she has no talent is ridiculous and I think the millions of people who tuned into Dynasty would agree. You sound bitter

Joan Collins, one of the very first celebrities before the word 'celebrity' became popular: she has been always famous just for being famous. It certainly wasn't for her acting.

@crazyclive ..It was because she is a survivor in one of the toughest industries and at the age of 48 won the role of a lifetime and revolutionized tv in the 80's!..How you can say she is famous for just being famous is absurd, when she has worked hard for everything she has achieved. Over 50 movies, 8 years in a number 1 show, plays, author of 9 books etc....To have that kind of fame you have to have talent and drive especially to still be going strong at 78!!

I stumbled upon a book about Joan Collins in a department store in the early 1990s. I think she actually wrote it and there were lots of pics,including one or two of her without makeup. She actually captioned the pics with something like ''here I am without makeup'' as if to answer all those people bugging her about her age. Took a lot of guts,I thought. I'm no fan and didn't care beans about ''Dynasty'' but she's still a babe and quite smart.

Joan looks stunning,whatever she uses for her skin it works very well for her,I doubt she had done any surgery,I mean she doens´t look like a plastic surgery victim unlike half Hollywood.
