American Idol's has NO vocals in the background, different text effect and sound effects to go with them. Canadian Idol's HAS vocals in the song, and a simple fade in out effect on the text. American Idol's is better to me.

Watching and listening to this reminds me of Pop Idol. I miss Pop idol. We had two series and then ITV replaced it with X Factor.

Only the Idols in North/South America and Australia got it.
