Cbs definatly not dead in the us, only truckers use it here locally but when the skips rolling you can talk all day.

CB radio died in my part of the county 10 years ago. But I do remember the good times I had before then, at any time of day or night you could always find someone talking on the radio. Now it's just the truck drivers. However, I found ham radio and luckily there are still a few people out there that talk...so not all is lost. Why did it die you ask? Look at your screen, the internet killed the radio.

I,m also a Ham, but CBs got it,s place. Cb was big here in the UK twenty years back, I had loads of fun and met loads of nice folks. Bad news is CB is now dead here. Only people who use it now are truckers and they just talk to each other. The days of '14/19 for a copy' have long gone. Shame but we still have a laugh on 145mhz and on ham its nice to get away from the foul mouthers.Enjoy whatever you wanna do, cos there are a lot of arseholes out there ( try listening on top band.Hi Hi!).
