  • 1:00 Skip the bullshit.

  • i don't know why people upload a video on here with a copyrighted audio track knowing that youtube will disable it ..and it sucks to try to watch a cool looking video that has no audio ..it sucks ....

  • OMG, this was brilliant. Totally 60's batman and I must say that Adam West and Burt Ward if they saw this would bye roaring with laughter. Irreverent as it seems, this tongue in cheek take on our old super hero is perfect. Great job, as a bat-fan from the original series, I salute you. Carry on Citizens there is nothing to fear.

  • Holy 911,

Is this underminding of our folk hereos not part of the whiteanting of our society and sowing the seeds of destruction to Western society?

    To the Bat Cave Robin!

  • I heard that the original was so heavy the tyres would at random just blow on set ...

  • 5500 lbs i could see that happening with the shitty polyglass tires they had back in the day

  • Great Opening.... and Freakin' HILARIOUS!

but ....I was waiting for some cop to pull him over for speeding! Nice car!!

  • Great Flick

  • Ford would have had a winner

they should have produced a car like it

  • Love that Batmobile!!

  • I have to say it....That clip was a real batastrophy!

  • WHY do these 3 minute clips always have such LONG opening credits?

  • George Barris designed the 1966 Batmobile from the Futura concept car by Ford Motor Company. The Futura was showcased as a Lincoln concept in the mid '50's. Mr. Barris has stated this fact over and over in many interviews and there are a few reliable websites clearly showing this as well. There have been many replicas made from other cars indeed, but it was the Futura concept car that caught Barris' imagination and thus the original tv series Batmobile in '66 was created from that.

  • Thank you johnknoxville. I always envied the story of Barris getting the concept for a dollar... Those were the days: a 200,000 dollar concept (1n 1955 money) for a buck.

  • hot rods comment says it all, this ones a replica not the original...

  • hmmm ok so u say, i used to watch mister tish pick up his kid in dearborn in 1968 in the original batmobile, im talking about the original not a copy, call henry ford lll he can set u straight, did wikipedia build a bat mobile? for your info look at the pics of a 55 lincoln the body would have never fit :)

in dearborn we know our fords and love em...

  • Right, the original... George Barris bought the Futura concept from Ford Motor Company on December 21, 1965 for one dollar. look at the 1955 Lincoln Futura concept: it doesn't take much imgination to see the Batmobile. I have a copy of the letter from Ford (Jacque H. Passino) to Barris.

  • Wow... SO funny. Loved every second of it. It's very Brady Movie.. taking the old and putting it in the new... and putting it way out of its element.

I'd loved to have seen Batman giving the child a lesson on cursing, since Batman would not approve of such language from a child. haha

Good job on the Batmobile and I loved the oldies playing inside the car bit. FUNNY

  • i live 2 blocks away from mr tish the original designer, one mile from ford testrack in dearborn michigan, i think mr tish knows what kind of car it was :)

  • Okay. Whatever... You win. Super-Duper internet hero. Go write your Wikipedia entry. Good stuff you got there. But I'm sure

George Barris and Bill Cushenberry are going to be pissed when they find out the 1955 Lincon they used to build the Batmobile was actually a 1965 Thunderbird. :)

  • the car was actually a 1965 thunderbird,

  • Which car? This one or the Original '66? The original '66 was built from the 1955 Lincoln Futura concept car...

  • lollllll so random! haha

  • I'd like to fall off my seat laughing at this...had to watch it 5x more..very funny

  • LMAO thats was kool, who built that car?

  • george barris built the original car fot the tv show and he also built the green hornet car as well as many custom cars for elvis presley.

  • yeah I know george built the original car from a concept car, but this video info says this is a replica batmobile. I was wondering if it was a fiberglass kit car or something else?

  • oh sorry.

  • *lol* That was good actually!

HotRodAlley - Pretty sure Tom Woodruff Jr built this replica - He mentioned it in an interview I read online and the interview gave a link to this video. Plus it says "Woodruff" as one of the search words, so, yeah, pretty sure :)

  • I've been a longtime fan of the old series and found this QUITE funny! Thanks for sharing!!

  • lol that was funny!

This could have easily been the next camp tv series of batman..

If this was really pitched it's too bad they didn't pick it up..

We haven't had a tv show like this since the original 60's batman.. you should shoot some more stuff and post it to you tube.. ;)

  • Wow! there using ohm meters for thee atomic batteries & turbine gauge. Awesome

  • just like the 60's batman
