I would have 28 to around 50 patient sometimes at my old job, but you know what none of them ever fell on the floor or ever died on my shift. kept them alive. these nurses here have what 7 to 8 patient per nurses. you have to be kidding me. i just cant believe the drama with this lady on the video All I can say is work your ass off because thats what we signed up for, because if you dont someone will surely die. so dont act so suprised and quit the drama. i hate lazy people. sit and make $
This is exactly the reason why I don't ever want to leave California because we have mandated staffing nurse-patient ratio here unlike other states including Texas.Yes, it is very scary to take care so many patients, you can only do so much.
this doesnt shock me...i work in a busy central TX hospital..nurse management dont give a crap... its how much money they save the hospital that makes them look good to administration
Texas doesn't like LVN's anymore. There are plently of seasoned ones availble to work in the hospitals with experience in all areas. But nobody is hiring. And they have so many barriers in place to go back to school. Also most hospitals have cut out peograms to send LVNs back to school. El Centro in Dallas had a 4 year waiting list. But I also know of many new RN grads being turned away too. So somebody in a high place is lying.
The truth behind the shortage is there aren't not enough clinical spaces for perspective students and not enough nursing professors.First, you have to apply and get accepted based upon good grades of course.Next , class size may only accept 60 students or less and 300 or more people apply to the program. That is the flaw and until they grant more clinical space there will be a shortage forever.
no hospital is safe, in 13 years as a rn i have seen lots of people die that did not need to. BUT HEY THE HOSPITALS ARE MAKING MONEY. SCREW NURSING-thats what America is about
This is almost everywhere. Even on my unit in the hospital. I have pt's with such high demands of nursing care and it is overwhelming.

Can you please tell me, why the government was reaping off every earning I ever made all my life in the name taxes?
Why can't I have medical treament with my own tax dollars?
After all, I have been paying for it all my life time.
I'm NOT asking the government to do me a favour, I'm asking for my own tax dollars to treat and stop my seizures.
Any problems with that???
Where's my tax dollars?
