@1gainsayer Both parties are spending us into long term debt from which we may never recover. If you look around you might see that it is bad government that takes so much with no limits. It is not sustainable. Where do you think the government gets the money? You must be one of the the takers, if so I would not expect you to complain, living off other people's money. Get a job.
Funny thing you conservatives don't say a word about how much Bush spent in his 8 years as president, which led to the Great Recession. Guess you guys have a very short memory span.

To all you so called "patriots": You lost the election, now you want to overthrow the governemnt? Stop listening to Rush, Sean and Mark and get your head out of your neo con asses. Your philosophy failed, history will confirm it. Just as the rep. neo. cons. hijack Dr. Pauls message, there goes the chance for third party elections in 2012. They're going to screw Libertarian philosophy just watch.
nice video put one up myself and i never heard there were 20 thousand officially but hear the number thrown around around 2pm but for sure at 1pm there were 10thousand there at least those were the numbers being given to the reporters covering the event i only know this because i was interviewing a spot in my video right next to the person doing the press interview...nice video amazing how many there were from sacramento
We do need a viable third party. However, I fear nothing will really change unless we end the Federal Reserve System. Educate yourselves on how we get our money and how the Fed operates.
We also need to end corporate welfare. Those are the most corrupting influences.
America needs a third party. Democrats just want to tax tax and tax. They have created a system that makes people lazy because the state takes care of them. The Republicans preach morality and religion and that scares a lot of people. WE need real change and so far the two parties in power are incapable of delivering.. We have a two party corrupt system.
I attended one and it was a great feeling. The crowd was made up different people with different party affiliation but many of us notice thay some not all are trying to make this a Republican movement and this is bad news. This should be a non partison movement for change.....real change. I hope the founders of this movement kick both parties out.
There are no founders and it is not a republican movement. I will not be a member of the Republican party anymore, but I support tax reforms, and a populist movement.
sounds like most of the protesters are aligned with Obama. Hope they enjoy the tax cut they just received. If not, they should stay off my public streets, find their own way to dispose of their trash, and and shut off the water to their house.
I was there. The party was great and the crowed was much larger than I expected but I wish people we more informed. They wan't to blame all this crap on Obama but Bush is just as bad. This whole right / left thing needs to go away.We need a true revolt..END THE FED
eliminate the federal reserve and you eliminate 95% of the problems of the US : poverty, health care problems, inflation, the income tax, the war on drugs, the war on terror, no child left behind, needless wars, prison surpluses, reduction of military industrial complex, and much more!
its unbelievable that this European Bank (the fed) is still robbing us of our wealth!
Sorry but that is lame. Both Parties have messed up the country. Obama's spending increases and threatening socialism are spending us into the poor house. Wait till you see the inflation that is coming.
Sactodann, jake4u25 was right. The biggest majority of these protesters saw no problem when the repubs were in control and borrowing to spend our grandchildren's money. Its only when a dem is pres that it suddenly is a reason to protest.
What makes this lame and transparent is this thing was about the boilerplate repub issue of taxes and that the repubs have been brainwashing everyone that will listen that obama will raise their taxes - but none of them had a tax hike.
The irony of this is that with all the Republican borrowing that took place over the eight years of Bush; I don't see how they can avoid raising taxes to pay down the debt.
Its hard to see these people's issue when they were absolutely non-existent before there was a black president.
I was there and 20,000 People is WAY OFF. I am in support of the Tea Parties but there were about 5,000 people more or less throughout the time. What amazed me was the fact that there was a consistent crowd after 1:00 PM.

Cool!
So now we see Obama's "new" ideas and that they aren't new. Cuba has been trying them (including socialism) for over 50 years.

wouldnt socialism have been if the government took over the banks?
surely cutting taxes for the less well off and raising them for the richer to supplement will help raise the overall standard of living?

I agree, 5000 is more like it. I refer to several thousand in the video, but there was a report of 20K from somewhere.
