Yes, we know he's the sheriff, but there is already a very healthy dose of jealousy and insecurity on Bill's part, and for me, that just isn't attractive. Confidence, which Eric has in spades, is a total turn on.

@postalpixie I think bill staked long shadow and not Eric because the writers needed a way to get bill to turn Jessica, and bill would never have turned Jessica unless he absolutely had to way no way out thus the punishment for staking long shadow! I would have liked it if Eric staked him better as well but I love the new character Jessica so,,, It was the easiest, simplest way to add a baby vamp...
