Clinton would be fine as Secretary of State. The biggest challenge of that position is having enough backbone to stand toe to toe with foreign leaders. In that sense, she would be fine.

Hillary was promised this position sometime in early July to unite the party. That's why both her and Bill went all out for Obama. Sorry if this turns your stomach but this is how you make the sausage.

The best reason to not have Clinton as Sec. of State is because the media couldn't act responsibly enough to cover her or Bill Clinton in a mature and meaningful way. Clinton isn't the problem, it's our national media who obsessives over trivialities and unimportant personality clashes.
