Standing on the field at Finals retreat was one of the most to-die-for moments in my life. I nearly cried watching this video play on the screen. I knew that this summer was well worth the journey, and this song only emphasized the emotions that I felt all summer. I know that it's a bit dramatic but it felt good.

Great video, but why aren't there clips of pioneer or other bottom corps. They work just as hard as the rest and deserve to be on these type of videos. This past year I most likely could have made it in a top 12 corps but stayed at pioneer cause of the people and the staff there.

I'm guessing because in the DVD's that DCI sells for championships, the 1st one [also the most expensive] is only the top 12. Hell, I think there should be a Open Class montage as well.

I disagree. This video upset me a lot. I worked my ass off all summer, and they didn't show a single god damn clip of BK. I don't know why he/she couldn't of even put in 1 five-second clip of us. I don't know what DCI had against us that year, but really? NO clips/pictures or anything. There are only 20 corps! That really pissed me off finals night. At least everyone else got 3-4 clips of them.

I am sure you would be feeling differently if your corps was not on there. I did not do it for the clip, however, it was really upsetting to see that DCI did not bother to put a small clip of BK. If you admit it or not. DCI is a competitive environment. People do not spend thousands of dollars to go dick around all summer, they are they to learn and compete. By not showing BK in the clip, they are insinuating that we are not worth it, or did not work as hard. Get off your high horse.

My corps was not shown on the video. I understand the competitiveness of DCI, but I think some people get too rapped up in the competition, and lose sight of what drum corps actually is. Drum corps is more about the journey and less about the destination.

To each is own. I want to make it clear that neither am I, if I was in it to win it, I would have went for Cavies or BD or something. But I chose BK because of the people in it, and the people who teach there. I felt I would learn the most. To me, the journey is important, but I work of the end. The destination is what you work for, it is your goals. To me there is no point without goals. But when you show every top 12 corps expect one, it is disrespectful.
