Kingdom hearts 1 imo, was the best rpg I've ever played. I did find KH2 to be similar to an anime, story-wise, which is probably why I hated it :P

in kh 1 the darkness was something you really feared, you tried to stay away from it.. but in the end you had to face your most feared enemy cause he was the reason of your fear.. in kh 2 the darkness isnt as present as it was in 1.. cause back then the darkness really surrounds you all through the game.

This sounds like it would fit a kind of game if someone was following sora and co. during kh1 but when he got to a new world it would be silent hill like after Sora and Co. left. This would be the end of the world theme because it's malevolent sounding.

As fun as KH2 is, I think KH had a slightly better story line. It was more like a story from a book, while KH2's story was more like an anime. But KH2 was better in terms of gameplay.

yeah kh 2 has a confusing storyline thats hard to keep up with but it is still fun to end a combo with an earth shattering explosion destroying the darkness
