  • So gay

  • What about if I have a Mac like James Rolfe the angry video game nerd? Then what do I do?

  • Finally a video that explains quickly and briefly what to do. Thanks!

  • r are gay

  • HOW DO YOU GET THOSE FILES ON YOUR COMPUTER!!!!??? (od you need a cable that runs from your DVD recorder to your pc or what???!)

  • @DefourOwnsYa You put the finalized recorded disc in the PC, and run the software that I mentioned to export the files into a raw MPEG2 file.

  • When you moved into the camera i was like WTF you trying to headbutt me ;)

  • I think you forgot to turn caps off.

  • hello again.I just received my Toshiba dvd recorder, but I have no idea how to finalize my recordings. Can you help me please?

  • @zanpatch The finalize option that I have on my DVD recorder is over at the bottom of the menu. You could also try looking through the manual that came with your DVD recorder that may tell you how to finalize the disc.

  • @blueluigi I do not have the manual to the DVD recorder.I never received one. What do I do?

  • @zanpatch Do a google search of the model number on your Toshiba DVD recorder. Perhaps, there's a place that has instructions there.

  • is the dvd recorder disc included with the recorder?

  • cool tutorial but how do you connect it all up together?like do you put the av cords for the console in the dvd recorder or what?

  • @zanpatch Yeah, the AV cords from the console goes into one of the input slots in the DVD recorder. Basically, you need to have the DVD recorder set up so that it recognizes the console by having the functions of the recorder (ie menu options, settings, etc) to show up while you have the console on.

  • @blueluigi thank you :)

  • will this work on a dvd-R?

  • @videoFXking Yes you can use DVD-R if you want to. The reason why I prefer DVD-RW is because the disc is rewritable, so I'd be able to use it again and again. With DVD-R, the data is permanent.

  • @blueluigi but when i put it in my computer it wont show up. So should i use the dvd dycrypter?

  • It seems to me like you've got a good setup here. Thanks for the tutorial, I just tried it out on one of my DVDs with the software that you've been using and it works great. I'll be sure to invest in a DVD recorder so that I could capture footage from my game consoles.

  • You're using Vegas Pro for editing software, that junk is like 600 bucks. Do you know of any cheaper alternatives? Can Windows Movie Maker edit these files ?

  • @dankfizzy Yeah, I've gotten Windows Movie Maker to work that that type of file format. At least, when I tested it, it did.

Also, if you don't want to pay $600 for Sony Vegas Pro, you could get Vegas Movie Studio HD. That's the cheaper alternative to Sony Vegas and it generally goes fort $100.

  • @blueluigi Are there any settings you changed in the DVD decrypter that you didn't show in the video? The files I decryped won't open with that Mpeg2 converted. In fact, the MPEG2 converted I downloaded from your link looks nothing like the one you use in the video (perhaps it's a later version?) Any help would be greatly appreciated, because I paid about 160 bucks for this dvd recorder and if I can't put the files onto my computer it's sort of a big waste :-/

  • @dankfizzy Well, one of the settings in DVD Decrypter that I'm not sure if I showed it in the video is that if you click on mode -> IFO, then that's where you can rip the IFO file from your DVD to your computer.

As for VOB2MPG, it seems to be the same software when I checked the site. If not, then I would say do a google search on Badgerit's VOB2MPG and see what you could find from that.

  • @blueluigi I just want to say.. I think it's really cool that you take the time to respond to these questions. Idk what to do though man, I can't get it to work. I'm seriously about to cry. Well not really but I'm frustrated as hell. lol. The converter I downloaded from your link is apparently made by a company called "foxtab." It doesn't say Badgerit anywhere on it, and it doesn't look like the one in your video. It also doesn't recognize the files I decrypted using the Dvd decrypter.

  • @blueluigi Idk.. I really appreciate your help but maybe my problems are more specific to my Dvd recorder or something. This is so frustrating, I feel like what I want to accomplish is so simple, just convert VOB files into something Windows Movie Maker can understand. Yet every attempt I make to accomplish this seemingly simple task ends in failure. Blahhhh

  • i have a sony dvd recorder that only records in 240 p is it possible to shange this to 360 or 480?

  • Is there a way to record and use voice-over simultaneously using this method?

  • Thank you very much really good help for me thanks a lot !!!!!

  • Could you use WinZip instead of DVD Decrypter?

  • would you fuckers stop making fun of this guy? hes trying to help you out shit heads.

  • You look like a dumbass!

  • You use sony vegas right and I really want to know how to use special effects for this program.

  • god, you look like you have no girlfriend

  • can i use dvd+r 's?

  • You look mentally ill.

  • I just tried a different disc and instead of the lag and not responding issue in DVD Decrypter with the first disc it now works with the second disc and it quickly started the decryption process. For some reason my DVD Recorder won't let me finalize the disc, although it shows I have the option to do so but I can't select it.

  • I've recorded footage with my DVD Recorder, and every time I have done so I have not finalized the DVD. I just drag and drop files from the DVD disc to my computer. Sometimes it works and sometimes not (I get a MS-DOS error) I tried using the disc with the DVD decrypter and it gave me a error message. Is it something to do with the disc you think?

  • Thanks man. Very helpful video.

  • Very helpful and informative, dude.

  • I play in 1080p, but I have to change the setting to 480p to record gameplay. Is it possible to play in 1080p while recording in 480p?

  • after you put it on ur computer can you put the gameplay on youtube?

  • @aaronbh10 Depends on the time and filesize. If the MPEG2 file is less than 15 minutes long and less than 2 GB, then yes. If not, then then you could always edit the video to that time length and export the file to a smaller file like a WMV or MP4.

Though there's also other ways you can rip the file from your DVD and have it exported straight to a smaller format so it could be posted on Youtube. It really depends on what you got.

  • good tutorial but i think he is gay and i hate gay people im homophobic

  • @tdydy screw you

  • thanks you know i know how copy to my computer

  • Thanks dude, that's really helpful. I've been trying to find something like this to help make my game walkthroughs more enjoyable and higher quality. Could you tell me where I could get a good quality (but cheap!!) DVD recorder?

  • yo its 2010 not 1950.get an xbox or something

  • @icyoweenie180 Retro is the way to go yo! Plus, SNES came out in the 90's, not the 50's :)

  • how do you rewrite on a dvd-rw? is it only rewritable when its not finalized or is there a way to unfinalize it? pls reply...

  • If you still have the DVD-RW finalized, then you could undo finalize by going to the options menu to where the finalize feature is and there should be one for undo finalize.

  • anyway to add your own voice during game play?

  • This video was extremely helpful. I've been trying to figure this out for awhile and was considering buying a dazzle, but I think this will be easier and have better quakity. Thank you so much!

  • How Do You Correctly See The DVD Image.

  • Dazzle is god

  • instead of downloading the dvd decrypter, do this:

    1. finalize the disc

    2. load the disc in your computer/ laptop

3.go into 'my computer' rite click on the disc and click 'explore'

    4. there should be two folders. i think the video file is in the one on the rite (cant remember what its called) but check both. you'll know what file it is beacuse it has a video thumbnail

    hope this helped

  • So...You Plug The DVD Recorder Into The Back Of The TV & Put The Xbox 360 Wires Into The DVD Recorder, And It Will Play On The TV?

  • He has the same glow in the dark Super Mario Galaxy poster that I do! He must have the collectors addition book!

  • Please help me blueluigi!! :) I have a small problem, I've recorded 5 videos from Wii Game on DVD-R. I downloaded all 2 programs, but DVD Decrypter says to me this: Disc is Empty .. ? Where is the problem?? :( PLEASE HELP MEE :)

  • If the software says that the disc is empty, then you probably didn't finalise it. If you look through your DVD recorder setup, then you should find the option that says to finalise your DVD.

  • Oh, I'll do it, thanks! :)

  • I have done it! It works! Yeeaah! :)

  • Thanks a lot! I've been stuck on this problem for quite some time. How do you feel about other people using a gamebridge though? I hear the quality is a lot better than DVD recording.

  • I don't mind what other people use to record gameplay footage. As long as it gets good quality recording, then it sounds good.

  • lol. do u have a script u read off of or something? but cool vid anyway

  • i do this, but when i put the dvd in my computer it says blank disk.

    help?

  • You got to finalize the disc before you put it into your computer, otherwise, then it won't read it. The finalise feature should be in the DVD recorder's setup selection.

  • tyvm for making this

  • Do you need to hook up the game console to the DVD recorder in order to record the footage?

  • Yes you do.

  • u sound like napoleon dynamite but cool tutorial

  • u dont exactly say how u record your game footage

  • weird that more people havent seen this, this seems great, and simple. :S

anyway, if you just recorded it on a normal blank dvd that you cant rerecord on several times, do you really need that ripoff software. i just have a mac, so im kinda worried of not getting that. :O

  • Ha you talk with your hands. Don't worry I do that a lot too.

  • I've seen many people do that. I don't think that's really much of a problem.

  • Neither do I, yet I am made fun of for doing that.

  • I do that too sometimes.

  • Thanks dude. That's great, but I also would like to know if I could make the videos 16:9 widescreen, not 4:3. I want the highest quality possible. Any suggestions?

  • You mean by having a widescreen file with the 4:3 video being letterboxed. Well, you should be able to do that with your video editing software, at least that's how I did it. It worked when I used Sony Vegas. I'm not sure about Pinnacle since I never used that software, but I would think the newest version might have that feature.

  • The Show You Had On Your TV Was "Still Standing", NOT "Standing Still".

  • Yeah, I kind of knew that, there's just times when I accidently switch the name.

  • that's kinda cool! ^_^
